In the Philippine Star today, read about the new Korean restaurant in Solaire, Kiwa Korean Grill Dining
More details of our visit to Kiwa atSolaire
We arrived at Solarie – not in that beautiful Bentley Maulsanne haha!! But we saw it parked in front of the VIP entrance
Always an amazing sight upon entering. It looks like it goes up till the eyes can see, but the top is a mirror which makes it look like it goes up many storeys above
More photos of the interiors of Kiwa
Make sure to reserve by the window which has a beautiful view of Manila Bay
They have several private rooms – not one is the same
Each table has a grill for you to cook your bbq
We tried the set meal which has to be a minimum of two people. It included several appetisers and the main dish till dessert
It comes with several appetisers
Juk-porridge Pumpkin salad
Preserved tomatoes
And Mango with cheese were my favourites among the many appetizers/starters
Chap Chae
Paegeon
Galbitang – beef short ribs stew. Their version of our Bulalo soup
The grill is fired by charcoal and the exhaust is on the sides and the bottom so the smoke does not go to your hair and your clothes
When you order the complete course you can have different main dishes- so we chose two kinds. (The Saenggalbi was not available)
Yangnyumgalbi Course – beef ribs
Bulgogi Course
We saw another table had the pork and it looked so good!! We will try this next visit
The accessories for the grill
Plum tea as dessert which is so refreshing. This was part of the complete course
