There are 2 Thanh Longs in SF city – one is the original/ first branch and the other branch is called Crustacean in Polk st.
Previous entry: Crustacean San Francisco Sept 2013
We would go to Crustacean because it’s usually easier to reserve. Tonight we are back and its newly renovated since November. It’s nice now! It’s a better dining experience so i highly recommend this branch We always order the same things are we are happy:-) They removed this from the menu but we asked for it and they had it 🙂 Fried Calamari Rice Paper Shrimp Roll
Filled with poached shrimp, rice noodles, rau ram and green mango wrapped in soft rice paper, served with a spicy peanut sauce. Skewered Beef
Tender slices of beef marinated with lemongrass, sesame and asian herbs then grilled. The Roast Crab
An entire dungeness crab roasted to perfection with garlic and spices
We were wondering why there was no head so we asked the server and apparently the crabs that were delivered had no heads! But anyway the taste was still the same They gave us free dessert in lieu of the crabs having no heads
