Once in awhile it’s nice to get away from it all even if it’s just a few miles away from home and even just for a night. Some people think that Discovery Primea is residential only but there is actually a hotel with over 100 rooms. It’s also a perfect place to book your business associates or friends visiting because it is very central to the business district

What a lovely surprise to be greeted by Chef David Pardo de Ayala who is actually now the GM of Discovery Primea @discoveryprimea So happy to always be at any Discovery Leisure Company hotels @tldci – it’s always a pleasant and happy stay.
Chef David is Colombian and came to the Philippines to marry a Filipina. He started with Soleil and Aqua – the two restaurants of Chef Markus @kusinero that pioneered the fine dining restaurant business in the country. Chef David then became the Corporate chef of the Discovery Group @discoveryhotelsresorts and then hotel manager of Discovery Suites in Tagaytay and now GM of Discovery Primea

It’s one surprise after the other!
Super love the welcome treats as we checked in our suite at Discovery Primea @discoveryprimea It’s expected always at every Discovery Hotel @discoveryhotelsresorts but it’s always a heartwarming surprise to see what it will be 
Since it is Holy Week and with Easter coming up, this comes in every room! Everything is edible including the ears of the pig 🙂
With Holy Week also coming up, Easter in the City is the prefect escape in Makati. Starting at Php 8000++, enjoy a luxe getaway with the family that comes complete with complimentary gourmet breakfast, a round of drinks at Plunge Pool Bar, special welcome and turndown treats, and 20% savings at Terazi Spa (except for Hammam). We had a relaxing two hour spa treatment at Terazi Spa. The last time I visited Primea, the spa was not yet finished so I am happy to try it for the first time
It was my first time to try Hammam which is a Turkish treatment
The treatment begins with a full body steam followed by a dousing, to prepare you for the relaxation. The pampering begins….laying down on the heated marble bed, Terazi’s therapist initiates a deep body exfoliation using the traditional ‘kese’ mitt and castile soap to cleanse every inch of your body. Immediately after, you will be covered in a cloud of soapy bubbles, to wash away dead skin cells. Your treatment is completed with a cold, refreshing drink, served in The Terazi Tea Lounge.
A maximum of two people can use this together. As soon as they turn it on, the steam comes out immediately. I love steam baths. A friend of mine suggested this to me so I do this weekly. In a Hammam treatment it is just the first part
After the Hammam we had the Signature massage
After the spa, we had a delicious dinner during Earth Hour at Tapenade. We had such a nice lunch experience last year

I have been looking for a place in the city with a heated pool and finally found one! 
We had a restful sleep and woke up for breakfast – We had the Discovery Primea Gourmet Breakfast
So happy to see my favorite jams – The Fruit Garden – at the Salad room for dinner and now for breakfast. Love that Discovery Primea @discoveryprimea supports our very own local products 
Whenever I order, I usually just ask the waiter what the bestseller is and so I ordered this for breakfast – Australian Wagyu Beef Tapa
Second bestseller was the Lucban Longganiso Picadillo – It’s a good thing our first two choices were the top sellers 🙂 Love interesting inventions like this 🙂 Crispy potatoes, EVOO fried egg and Garlic jasmine rice

No need to get out of the hotel @discoveryprimea to hear mass. At the 3rd level, The Annunciation Chapel. Rafael told us that one thing about the Discovery family is that they are very spiritual. The owner Mrs. Cynthia Tiu constructed the chapel based on a dream she had which was the Annunciation. 
Loved the choir at mass, Koro Ilustrado @koroilustrado 5 out of the group of 30 sang today. They also sing every 2nd and 4th Saturday 430pm mass at Sanctuario de San Antonio. They also do concerts and performances and sing for events and weddings.
