The men’s Spring-Summer 2016 collection explores new horizons, guided by instinct and savoir-faire. The designer Adolfo Domínguez imagines a man who is setting out on a road trip along the legendary Route 66. A coast to coast journey giving rise to a collection marked by its authenticity and its innovation.
It is a journey from the deep blue sea to the scorched desert: sky-blue and sand. The signature prints, lifted with touches of watercolour, reflect the landscapes of the route. The dusty horizon is expressed with delavé finishes. The stones on road are not obstacles, but a scattering of grey and black that converse with the green brushstrokes of the cactus. The trip takes us to a destination filled with warm colours and pastel shades.
The minimalist design is expressed in black and white to highlight the technical details: elastic fastenings, thermosealed seams, waterproof zips and neoprene foams, that contrast with the hints of artisan touches and a predilection for materials with character. Deconstructed tailoring continues as a key element: a hallmark of our firm’s identity.
Natural fabrics – linen, cotton and merino wool – feature in their pure form and in innovative blends, such as the Technolinen, which combines linen and the finest quality Italian cotton. The importance we place on the latest generation vegan material gives rise to an extra-soft eco-leather, like a caress.
