There is really not much to do on board the train. But be assured that you will be so busy looking at views, taking photos and for sure they will feed you from beginning till the end!!! It is an 8 hour journey and you will be eating probably half of that time and in between you can have drinks as much as you want
They have 2 chefs on board per cart to prepare the meals. Here is one of our chefs who even gave us freshly baked cookies
There are 2 seatings on the train since not everyone fits in the dining room. We take turns with the group in our car. So while we are waiting for breakfast they give you freshly made scones with jam and butter. Before lunch they serve cheese and wine 🙂 You will really never go hungry or thirsty on board the Rocky Mountaineer! The dining room You have to choose your entree. We strategies and order different dishes so we can try them. It is the same menu so depending on where you are going – you will have a chance to try 2 or 3 dishes per meal on the long menu 🙂
