What an experience walking through the medina in Fes!! Medina means walled city. In the olden times, that is how a city was built – within closed walls. Walls that were very high. No cars are allowed inside and their taxis are donkeys 🙂 You need to walk on the right side of the street or else you will be hit by a donkey/mule. We had our tour guide and he had another guy stay at the back to guard our group.
