Even if it was a stormy, wet and windy day in Manhattan, we all met up to celebrate 5 birthdays- Rolando, Adeling, Marden, James and I. Though Rolando and Adeling treated really for their bday and we had pizza. We enjoyed so much especially while listening to the stories of Rolando and Adeling. For 26 years that I’ve been going to New York City, this small but terrible lady was there that even when I was alone, I felt safe that she was around. Adeling. She’s been with the family for 45 years since Rustan’s San Marcelino. She is so efficient that the whole family relies on her. She’s so soft spoken and super nice she won’t hurt a fly!! But she’s smart and tough and knows what to do even in the city where everyone is so hard to deal with. She is 64 years old and still goes all over the city doing errands. Super LOVE Adeling ! Another loyal Rustanite! Cherry Coralde. She started in 1987 and we worked together in 1995 and she was handling the kitchenware department and one of the few managers that always reached her targets. She had to go to New York for family reasons in 2004 so she had to leave but she says she would still be in the company had she not gone to the States. This is what I mean about our people – they remain our family even if they are not working with us anymore. Cherry brought this yummy Sour Cream Apple walnut pie from the Little Pie Company in the Big Apple @littlepiecompany as our birthday cake for today’s celebration/reunion #H2HPeople #h2hrustans #h2hny#h2hnyc2017
