CHARRIOL LAUNCHES ‘WATCH ME GRADUATE’ 2019
A patron of the arts and craftsmanship, the late Philippe Charriol and his Geneva-based watches and jewelry brand Charriol, has long supported the value of hard work, skills, and work ethics.
And with the brand’s ‘Watch Me Graduate’ program, it paved the way to support women’s education since it started last 2016. This year it continues to support the cause with the same partner–-the Foundation for Professional Training Inc. (FPTI), a non-profit organization that promotes lifelong development for women by conducting formal education and vocational programs through its managed schools and centers.
For its initiative this 2019, Charriol will be offering a 10% discount on all watches from March 15 to May 31, with a 6-month installment, and will donate P1000 to FPTI for every purchase.
Charriol will keep its focus on the mentoring program of FPTI by providing assistance to students as they seek to become striving and responsible individuals in their studies and future work. Each student is assigned a mentor to guide and facilitate the self-direction of the student in a setting of trust. The program addresses student needs, academics, On-the-Job Training (OJT) performance, as well as personal and social development. The mentoring system in FPTI Schools—with its 100% job placement record—is a distinct advantage that complements the skills training given to students making them job-ready graduates and much-desired workers in the hospitality industry.
“In school, aside from skills, we were taught character-building which helped me when I started working with other people,” shares Shirly Mendoza, a previous FPTI scholar who was then assigned to a catering group for her OJT. As a student then, she expressed, “When I finish my course, I want to have a regular job and to achieve this, I need to be hardworking. This way, I will realize my dream and my mother’s.” Now a graduate of FPTI-Habihan in Quezon City, Shirly works as a Preparation Specialist for SaladStop! and is able to help her family financially.
For over 30 years, the institution has established five technical vocational schools and senior high schools in the country, located in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Laguna for underprivileged but deserving women. FPTI’s flagship program is the 2-year course in Hotel and Restaurant Services.
In the Philippines, Charriol is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., and is located at Central Square in Bonifacio High Street Central, Gateway Mall, Greenbelt 5, Newport Mall, Podium, Power Plant Mall, Robinsons Magnolia, Robinsons Place Manila, Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Shangri-La, Rustan’s Ayala Cebu, SM Mall of Asia, TriNoma, 158 Designers’ Boulevard (Alabang Town Center, Marquee Mall Pampanga), and Abreeza Mall Davao.
