Maquinit Hot Springs @maquinit_hotspring_official in Coron. It’s one of the rare salt water hot springs in the world. We drove around 45 minutes from Marina del Sol to get here. The best time would be very early in the morning (5am) or at night around 6-8pm so you can see the steam. It’s clean water because “There are 2 sources of the spring water, my mother enclosed it and then she made a bigger enclosure to capture the overflow of the 2 small pools. It’s a continuous flow, non-stop.
The overflow of the big pool flows to the sea.
The resort is protected with 7 species of mangroves and has become a habitat for birds and fishes.” – Lia Sandoval Ramos (owner) #maquinithotspring #h2hcoron #h2hspa #h2hitsmorefuninthephilippines #itsmorefuninthephilippines
Close encounter with the mangroves at @maquinit_hotspring_official They do not allow people to take their showers in the resort due to proximity to the sea and also the shampoo/hair conditioner/body soap might have toxic substances that will be harmful to our environment.
They have a misting area where you can rinse and a dressing area. They have toilets too.
Don’t forget to bring beach towels to dry yourselves and dry clothes #h2hcoron #h2hspa #maquinithotspring #itsmorefuninthephilippines #h2hitsmorefuninthephilippines
We had the whole place to ourselves because the owner of @maquinit_hotspring_official granted my request to not have anyone there since I was scared of covid! So we cane before it opened at 4pm ! It is not a coincidence that I met this wonderful lady – Lia Sandoval Ramos who is a neighbor and apparently owns a hot spring ( which I love) and how timely that we were going to Palawan. It’s definitely not a coincidence- She is God sent and I am so happy to meet her! not only because she owns a hot spring but because she is such a warm and kind soul!! What a blessing to have experienced a natural wonder from God & to have met such a lady #h2hpeople #h2hspa #h2hitsmorefuninthephilippines #h2hcoron
I saw these jellyfishes in the Lio Airport last month and now again in @maquinit_hotspring_official I asked Lia about them & apparently it’s a work of art by a community that the artist, Jojo Orcullo, @orcullojojo helps in Palawan. It’s so nice and it helps these kids!! #h2hart #h2hphilippineart #h2hgivingback #h2hkids #h2hcoron #jojoorcullo
