After visiting Lola Charing ( Celebrating Christmas- Visiting Lola ), we go to Lolo Benny.
If there is one day in the year that Lolo makes sure that he is in the country to spend time with the family, it is on Christmas Day. No matter where in the world he is, he makes sure to come home to celebrate Christmas Day with us. So you can imagine how special this day is for us, so, we too make sure we celebrate with him.
Christmas is the most important day of the year as it is the birthday of Christ….it is a GRAND celebration!
Last year Tita Nena took care of the preparations, and this year it was Tita Len. Mom is claiming to take her turn already 🙂
Previous entry: Noche Buena – December 30, 2007
We always start with a mass…
Father Caluag
Then we have Noche Buena
Then at midnight we open our gifts
Then when Lolo goes to sleep and some of the parents leave, the grandkids have Bingo games…everyone makes sure to wait for this to win some prizes 🙂

What was inside the coolers? That’s a wonderful gfit wrapping idea!!!
I am so glad you spotted that! I was thinking of writing a short note about it…..it was a great gift! My Tita put different food stuff inside- like lamb, beef, ham, etc etc all from Rustan’s supermarket 🙂 It was a very practical gift and the cooler for sure you can use even after all the food inside is gone 🙂
I had the impression to be there in the middle of all of you. I went back almost 30 years ago. I never met the new generation, but I did in a very good shape “lolo” Benny, Marites, Nedi, Rico etc.
I whish a very happy new year with the hope to come to Manila once more pretty soon.

the catering set-up is gorgeous! the one with the fancy lights and all! who catered for you?
It is gorgeous! 🙂 The set up was done by Rustan’s and not the caterer. The Plaza though helped us with the Puto bumbong and bibingka booth and a few dishes like the soup
Great coverage again manang heart to heart!
HI RICA CAN YOU PLEASE SEND ME A CD OF THE PICTURES FOR MY OWN FILES PLEASE.
