Recyclable Bags

I have collected quite a few recyclable bags which have become very useful.  They come in different shapes, colors and sizes so depending on where I am going or where I will shop, I choose one that will fit…

This is my most used recyclable bag because I use it to do my groceries, I have around 35 pieces of this.  I keep 3 or 4 pieces in my car so just in case I do last minute or emergency grocery, it is in the car

This is a very popular one. Everyone seems to always call my attention when they see me using this bag.  People are amazed that it is made out of recycled newspapers – what a clever idea!

Thanks to Tito Rudy and Tita Monina for this one! I love it especially because of the saying on the bag and it benefits a livelihood program!

Wow, you got some good green bags there!

We (hubby and I) have a handful. It’s funny how we got our 1st green bag… we saw a couple (for sure they’re not Filipinos) at Rustan’s Shang when they pulled their green bag… so we got our too. 😀

it’s great to know that filipinos are doing their part in saving the planet! i live in a suburb of los angeles and all the retailers offer recyclable shopping bags. There are a lot of cute ones too! Like you i also keep a few in my trunk just in case….

you may want to check out also the KEEN bags at AKTIV stores. they have bags that have recycled parts : the bottom is normally a recycled outsole of a shoe, the hardware would normally be recycled aluminum cans.

they also have a shoe (Harvest Mary Jane) with uppers made of recycled rice bags. 🙂

Hi rics, I love this post! I also have my reusable bags in the car so they’re ready to be used when necessary. I also keep an envirosax in my bag so it’s compact and won’t need the bags from stores when I shop. In cases when what I purchased won’t fit, I keep the bag from the store and no kidding, give the bags back to them on my next trip. I also buy biodegradable trash bags from Edison so at least the bags we use for trash are enviro friendly. My kids are also trained to unplug everytime they’re done using computers/wii, t.v., etc. We, of course, use Messy Bessy products for our household. My driver is trained to switch off car even when we’re just waiting for 2 minutes. Lots of ways to help out and to save our earth, our only home. I just hope supremarkets/suppliers will stop using styro for the fruits, veggies, meat. They’re very harmful to the ozone layer. Thanks again, Rics, for this site, helping and informing people! Great job!
