So happy to meet Bryan Benitez McClelland of Bambike. He’s so gwapo pala 🙂  He is the guy behind the bamboo bikes roaming around Intramuros. It’s been a year and today he told us about his plans ! Watch out for all the things he plans to do to liven up Intramuros. Meantime try out his Bambike tours or buy a bamboo bikeÂ
The kids were scheduled to do something cultural. We booked them on a Bambike Tour. which was recommended by Gina. A new way to tour Intramuros. They went to 10 different places on a bamboo bike. Weekday is best since it’s not as busy to ride the streets.
Plaza San Luis Complex is where the headquarters of Bambike located and also houses historical memories of Old Intramuros. This complex is composed of five houses, namely – Casa Manila, Casa Urdaneta, Casa Blanca, Los Hidalgos and El Hogar Filipino. So much more fun when you are in a group! 🙂 Â
Everyone has to watch a video explaining about the bikes and what’s behind Bambike Eco Tours
Even if you can’t bike, they can take you on a sidecar which is also made out of bamboo 🙂

Jaime so proudly introducing President Sergio Osmena to his friends as his Great grandfather (4th Philippine President)Â
My partner in crime, beautiful Gina Tambunting Roxas 🙂 We so bravely took on the challenge of hosting 16 friends of our kids for their graduation trip to our country. We have been planning this for so long and having a companion to achieve this makes it easier and better yet more fun.  Today we were spies 🙂 and joined the bamboo bike tour and followed the kids by car.  We didn’t really spy!! We wanted to see what this was all about. And it’s really a fun way to tour Intramuros.  The kids really enjoyed! Great idea partner
Puerta Real – a beautiful venue for events
What a view from up there.
Japanese Cannons from the Battle of Manila in 1945 are pointing outside the walls, waiting for the right time to fire. This mossy area where these cannons are located gives an aura on how important Intramuros is in the Philippine history.
Fort Santiago is one of the most historical sites in Manila. It is a citadel during the time of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi as part of the formation of the city of Manila. Today, the fort is part of a historical park which includes the Plaza Moriones and other ruins.
The tour can include snacks and lunch in IntramurosÂ
Bryan told us that he has plans of converting this into restaurants and bars!! Â EXCITING!
Bryan with his glasses made out of bamboo
Beautiful sungka boards in the shops of Fort Santiago
Bryan also has plans for this area! Â Watch out for it
