This is one of the highlights of our trip to Cebu!! The Christmas Village of Hope
The most amazing display at SM City North Wing ( right beside Radisson Blu hotel ). Tita Marissa took us to see the Christmas Village of Hope made out of 700 pcs of miniatures ( Lemax ). They used around 300 soap bars to make the snow. It’s already on its 7th year. The owner Joji Tugonon started to collect in 1993 with only 7 pcs and now it’s a whole village!
This Christmas Village is a GIVING village because individuals and companies adopt the miniatures and they are named after them. From P 5,000 to P 20,000.00 per miniature. Proceeds of which goes to Kythe Foundation ( kids with cancer) This year, on day 5 they raised 2 million pesos. If all 700 pcs were adopted it can reach up to P7m. A MUST SEE when in Cebu during the Xmas season
I went to the second floor to capture the view of the village from above
There are perpetual donors who already commit every year
There is an airport 🙂 with planes up for adoption
