To launch this spectacular celebration of culture, Rustan’s transported its guests and patrons to the Mediterranean as they go around and discover hidden gems, cosmopolitan haunts, world-class cuisine and an epicurean lifestyle in that part of the world. Starting off the evening with an angelic opera song performance by 8 year old Harriette Wharmby,
followed by the inspiring speeches by Rustan Commercial Corporation Chairman and CEO Zenaida Tantoco and Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon M Lopez, who later joined in a toast with other dignitaries including – French Embassy Charge d’Affaires in the Philippines Laurent Le Godec, Italian Ambassador to the Philippines Massimo Roscigno, Ambassador of Spain to the Philippines His Excellency Luis Antonio Calvo Castaño and wife Madame Maria Jose Carrasco, Rustan’s Member of the Board Maritess Tantoco Enriquez, President Donnie Tantoco, and Rustan’s Chairman Emeritus Amb. Bienvenido Tantoco, Sr.
Concluding the night’s program, guests were treated to a romantic dance performance by Fundacion Centro Flamenco, and eventually led to the home floor to continue the celebration with sumptuous food stations featuring the countries’ beloved dishes.
