I was so happy to receive an email from Rommel and Cat Ramos who are regular viewers of Heart2Heart! Who we later on got to meet…a very nice couple!
Rommel is a lawyer and partnered with a friend in opening the restaurant
Thank you Rommel and Cat for inviting Heart2Heart to your new restaurant, Jalapeño
It was my first time to go to FOOD STREET in Ortigas near Home Depot. It is a street with mostly bars so it is really a night time hang out
There are a few restaurants and Jalapeño is one of them. They had recently opened for lunch.
The Jalapeño Team – Jojo Reyes, Chef Jonah and Atty. Rommel Ramos
Rommel told me to bring my friends so we can all share the food and try more dishes, so I called on my fondue group! Lils, Jeanne, Lau and Eds
We all enjoyed!!! The food was really good!! And Rommel and Cat were right, when you taste their food, you will want to come back. True enough, I received texts from all of them – Jeanne and Raul came back for lunch the next day, Lils brought her church group for Sunday after church and Ron and Lau went somewhere nearer them that evening to have Mexican! FUNNY! And I was craving for the same dishes but just did not have time to go all the way back there…SO OPEN IN MAKATI PLEASE! 🙂
We shared all the dishes that came out!
Herbed Lemonade
Baked Jalapeño Cheese Dip
Baked Cheezy Potato Mexicana
Tomato and Cheese quesadilla
Grilled Chicken Enchilada which Lils claims to be THE BEST!
This was an interesting dish which we all shared! YUMMY!!!
The two guys from the group – Ron and Raul – seemed to be the experts at making yummy wraps!
Rommel told us that many people like their homemade chili sauce – so he is going to bottle it and sell it as well
Grilled Cajun Pork Chop
Mexican Style Sausage
Grilled Chicken Mexicana
Chef Jonah serving us the food that he cooked – Chef Jonah is the chef in the TV show called Sis with Janice and Jelli de Belen. He has a regular portion in the show where he has cooking demos. According to Rommel, many of his fans go to Jalapeño to see Chef Jonah…who is by the way still a bachelor 🙂
Baja Fish Fillet
banana nutella tortilla
apple butterscotch tortilla
