Va Bene, Lan Kwai Fong

We went to Hong Kong without a plan.  Normally we know what we have to buy and where to eat.  But this trip, we actually did not have a plan which probably made it more exciting 🙂  So for our first night, we walked nearby and tried to look for a place to eat.  James suggested Lan Kwai Fong since he said there are many choices in the area.  It was very near Mandarin Hotel.  There were many small bars and fastfood restaurants but we wanted somewhere quiet and where we could have a nice meal

We even bumped into our friend, Ron!!  Who lives and works in Hong Kong.  We were so happy to see a familiar face!!

Thanks to Ron for recommending this restaurant which we also remember our friend, Mykie, telling us about this place a long time ago.  So we had a nice dinner here

One of the best fungi ( mushroom ) risottos I have ever tasted.  It had a puddle of cheese in the middle!
