I am a cloud rat (Bu-ot), endemic to the forests of the Philippines. I am a nocturnal animal, I live high up on trees and I eat plants. I have small ears, long whiskers, long furry tail and long sharp claws. I am gentle, and my actions are deliberate. Because my movements are measured, I climb well to avoid predators. I survive with gentleness and serenity through extra skills such as this. (Virtue: Adaptable)

I’m a Philippine Cockatoo (Kalangay), one of the endangered species endemic to the small islands of the Philippine archipelago like Palawan, Tawi-tawi and Masbate. I have a showy chest and a curved bill. I eat seeds, tubers, corms, fruit, flowers and insects. I can mimic the human voice. We can also live for a long time, some of us even live for more than 50 years. Most people say I am charming and sweet! (Virtue: Charm)

 I am the Philippine Eagle (Haring Ibon), one of the endangered species endemic to the forests of the Philippines and can be found in four major islands; eastern Luzon, Leyte, and Mindanao. When I choose a mate, I bond for life. Because of my patience and my sharp claws and teeth, I am an excellent hunter and because of that I am on top of the food chain. I fly high without hesitation because I can see from afar.

I am a Mouse Deer (Pilandok), one of the endangered species endemic to the South of Palawan, on Balabac Island. I am about 40 centimeters tall at the shoulder level and am a solitary, nocturnal animal. When I sense danger, I stomp my hind legs to warn my own kind. I can survive on my own and am active during the night. During the day, I just stay put in the forest. I use my wits and survive by being smart.

I am a Philippine Sea Turtle (pawikan), one of the endangered species endemic to the southwestern part of the Philippine archipelago. Unlike land turtles, I cannot retract my head and limbs under my streamlined shell. I accomplish things on my own but I can manage to eat with groups. I can breathe on land but usually I stay underwater. Most people see me as easygoing, patient, and wise because I live long, move slow, and appear wrinkled. I often symbolize longevity in many cultures. (Virtue: Stable)

I am a Blue-naped Parrot (Pikoy), endemic to Philppines. I have a strong beak, a broad head, a stout body and my feathers have bright colors. We are highly intelligent. In fact, we may choose to share and give a lot of love and attention when we want to. When you get to know me better, I am trustworthy and loyal to my owner.

I am a Tamaraw, one of the endangered species endemic to the island of Mindoro, Phillippines. I have a compact, heavyset, bovine body, four legs that end in cloven hooves and a small, horned head at the end of a short neck. I am known to be aggressive and fierce when necessary. Contrary to what people commonly believe, I am not a kind of Carabao. I maintain my energy for all those who rely on me.

I’m a Tarsier (Mamag), one of the endangered species endemic to southeastern part of the Philippine archipelago like Bohol, Samar, and Leyte. I am the smallest species of primate in the world. I am primarily an insectivore, which means I eat insects. I’m usually active and vigilant at night, when I use my huge eyes to hunt for my food in the forest.

I’m a Warty Pig (Baboy Damo), one of endangered species endemic to two of the Visayan Islands in Central Philippines. I am the one of four species of wild pigs that are found only in the Philippines. I am called a warty pig because I have warts on my skin that protect me from danger. Unlike domesticated pigs, which have to be fed, I can live on my own and forage for my own food.

 I’m a wise whale shark, an endangered specie endemic to the northeastern part of the Philippine archipelago. Some people know me as a butanding. I am the world’s largest fish as I can grow up to 20 meters long! I live for about 70 years, and my specie has been around for over 60 million years! Although I am called a shark, I am very gentle and playful, and I only eat small animals like plankton and krill. (Virtue: Wisdom)

I’m a bearcat (binturong), endemic to Palawan, Philippines. I can grow up to as much as 1.4 meters. I’ve got ears lined with white fur and I have long white whiskers reaching up to my head. I make chuckling sounds when I’m happy and I make high-pitched screams when I’m annoyed. I love to climb trees and swing from branch to branch using my claws. I use my tail tail to search for food. My joyful actions and sounds make people feel that I am friendly. (Virtue: Friendly)
