Maharlika Filipino Moderno New York City

We heard about this Filipino restaurant from Tito Stephen and Tita Reg and I made sure we stopped by to check it out!! Thanks to Tita Reg for taking us!

As soon as you enter, there is a condiment tray on the left Maggi savor and Jufran banana catsup!! My two favorite pinky sauces 🙂  Please forgive my photos as it was quite dark so some photos are blurred

Love the interiors of the place!

The owners were there and are friends of Tita Reg, Noel Cruz and Enzo Lim.  Other owners are Nicole Ponseca and Chef Miguel Trinidad

And the sister of Enzo who according to Tita Reg is a model!  Very pretty and tall indeed!

Love the t-shirts of the servers

A very small, nice and cozy place.  It’s so nice to have a place to go to that reminds you of home when you are far away

And Tita Reg pointed out to us that it is so Pinoy to have a Last supper image in a Filipino dining table 🙂 and I remember my parents and my Lola having one

Great post, Rica.. these Pinoys are certainly a source of pride to us, and more so for those of us who love food! If I’m not mistaken, Enzo Lim is the son of a friend, former Makati Business Club managing director and President Noynoy Aquino’s first Tourism Secretary Bertie Lim.

Enjoying your posts, please don’t stop!

    Sincerest regards,

    Teddy

    Dear Rica,
Thanks so much for featuring Maharlika on your food blog. Great photos. Thanks also, Reg, for sharing this heart-warming story with Bertie and me.
    Hi, Ted and Bibing!
We are so proud of our son Enzo and his bestest partners Nic, Miguel, and Noel.
Liana, our daughter, is also sharing the Maharlika good news with all her Pinoy friends who go NYC a-visiting.
    YES, THE FILIPINO CAN!

  • Rica, so thoughtful of you to mention myself and Tito Stephen and feature this wonderful new restaurant venture. Your photos capture the ambiance of the restaurant’s interiors in the retro 60s-70s theme that the owners wanted to set their signature dishes and drinks to. Wonderful of you to continue to showcase new Filipino endeavors from Manhattan to Manila and around the world. Keep it up!
    XOXO! Tita Reggie
