Thanks to my friend, Janet for treating me to Las Paellas, one of their family’s favorite places. Ned followed after awhile and joined us. Mon, the owner, was there. I told him to open in Makati so I can try more things on his menu! 🙂

It was a nice cozy restaurant across Starbucks in President’s Avenue, BF Paranque. I was surprised to see such an extensive menu. They do not serve only paellas but many many more. Mon’s wife designed and made the menu.
Ned’s order….Mini Tacos. Baked Eggplant and vietnamese spring rolls – Janet’s favorites

Here comes our paella!
Dennis preparing and serving the paella for us…..

Janet said this is very good….

Las Paellas version of Frozen Brazo de Mercedes…..Yummy too!

Another birthday celebration at one of my favorite places. Thanks Kat for the heart shaped raclette on toast, the bottle of wine and for the chocolate fondue!
Beef fondue with all the sauces

Toblerone chocolate fondue!!!
WIPED OUT!!

One advantage of being the birthday celebrant is that you get to choose the restaurant to go to! So of course, my all time favorite is Persian Kebab. And for the first time, we get to try the newest branch in Serendra. And it was so nice to see Mr. Hossein there! I was able to introduce my dad and mom finally to him. Hossein’s is opening a 4th branch in Greenbelt 3 which I promised I would visit. He says it is even nicer than Serendra.
Mr. Hossein remembers James and I even when we were still dating which was around 20 years ago.We would go once a week for many years. Mr. Hossein was surprised to see our two sons the eldest being 12 years old already.

On the second floor of his restaurant is a place for private functions.
Another private room downstairs for a smaller group
The restroom
Garlic bread and Toasted Papad. The best dips – Misa Kasemi, Hummus and Motabal ( not in photo). Order them all! They are the BEST!
I always order the fried rice ( bottom right )
You have to try the Roulette kebab ( first photo on top )- I only tried this here and it is so good. Even Dad liked it. It is a kebab that has beef, prawn and chicken- YUMMY!
LAMB RIBS!!! THE BEST!! M. Jun Jun made sure we ordered this. Then Dad ordered another order after.
More power to you Mr. Hossein! We love you and your restaurant!

Congratulations to Anthony and Best Wishes to Patty! You guys seem to be so in love! Thank you for making us a part of your special day.
We were not able to go to the church for the ceremonies as we were coming from out of town. So the church photos were from the slideshow they showed at the reception.

This was my favorite part of the wedding. For some reason, I could not stop taking photos trying to capture that moment. They were dancing, it looked like he was talking to her, they were hugging each other tight. It showed the relationship of Patty and her father, it was a beautiful moment!

I asked Elbert if I could share his services at Heart2Heart so more people can learn the joys of using a Mac. What would we do without you Elbert??

From Elbert….
I charge P2,000 for each session, which lasts between 2 to 3 hours each.
The first session is called Mac Fundamentals and is the most essential. I do not recommend skipping that. Even the most seasoned Mac users appreciate the first lesson.
After that are the the follow up sessions, which can either be a review of the first lesson, or tutorials on other Apple applications. The rate sessions is just like the first one, P2,000 for every 2 to 3 hours.
Most of my students prefer it be unstructured and we just cover what we can along the way. The number of lessons depends on the student. Some settle for just one or two, others go for as much as a dozen lessons.
I cover only Apple applications (OS X, Finder, iLife, iWork). Professional applications like Adobe Photoshop and Apple Aperture, I don’t teach.
As part of my services, I do help desk services over the telephone or via email. Of course, I can also help on some technical stuff like wireless setups and the like.
As for schedules and venue, I can go to my clients, especially if they use a desktop, or they can come to me at my resto. I prefer late morning or early afternoon, so usually, sessions 11am to 1pm or 1pm to 3pm.

I have never been to Hai Shin Lou before but they say it is newly renovated. This has been Dad’s craving for the past weeks. After having the “pitik pitik” in Victoria City Seafood Restaurant, Dad has been wanting to eat it over and over. They have it here in the Philippines and bigger in size, though the one in Victoria’s is still different, this is a good alternative. And Hiro was right, it is called Sea Mantis. I would recommend the fresh seafood from Hai Shin Lou.
Look for Ben, the manager……

Another beautiful collection from Tiffany…and a beautiful ad campaign….

Congratulations Pinky on your recital for your Silid Sining Workshop Musical Theater! I hope you continue to do what you are doing- bringing out the best in the kids and helping them pursue their talents in dance and music.
It was so nice to see children of different ages performing together and enjoying. Mariza and David had a great time.
As Pinky said, the most important thing that the kids can get from the workshop is building their self esteem and confidence…….. and if you achieve this, then you have done your job.
What also struck me was Anton, a handicapped little boy, who was joining the workshop. Seeing him participate and do what all the other kids were doing proves that anyone can do anything as long as you try and as long as you believe in yourself, have the courage, and know that anything is possible.

Heart2Heart was able to watch one of the classes. They were rehearsing that day for their recital.

The RECITAL, May 7, Wednesday 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Anne Arbor Montessori School
Opening Remarks and The National Anthem sang by Pinky
Invocation by Rach and Rebecca. They had such angelic voices! Lori told me that she cries whenever she hears her kids sing.
