Yakiniku Senri

By | Foodie | 5 Comments

ConCon recommended this place to us so we wanted to try it. The problem with eating only as a couple is you cannot really try many dishes.  So we were only able to try 2 yakiniku dishes.  The basic beef, Japan Karubi cut,  and tongue.  We wanted to try the tongue because it had some unique variations I have never seen before ( with onion and with garlic).  So the one with garlic chips is what we tried.  I found the tongue a bit too thick. I prefer it sliced very thin.  The karubi beef  was very good and we had it two ways- with the regular barbeque sauce and I had them marinate another order in just salt and pepper.

A House from a Fairy Tale

By | Homes and Interiors | 3 Comments

There is this beautiful house in Baguio which we pass by all the time. The land is nice because it is flat and it is surrounded by tall trees.  In the center is a beautiful lawn and driveway.  This house looks like a house from a storybook. For many years it has been there and for a time they had a sign  saying that it was not for sale, probably because they have received inquiries from many people.  One day, I will try to enter and visit the inside of the house and to meet the owners….anyway, we are neighbors 🙂

The much awaited Starbucks Planner is out already!!!  This planner was first launched in Christmas 2003 and it was the planner that started the planner craze in our country.  Many other stores and companies followed suit.  You cannot imagine what Starbucks customers do just to get this planner. It’s amazing!  And not only has it been copied in our country but Starbucks International has adapted the idea to other countries as well all over the world! Many great ideas come from Starbucks Philippines and implemented all over the world.  That is Filipino talent at work.

Thanks to Con Con for telling us about this place and thanks to Dina for waking me up or else we would not have been able to go to this unique experience!  On our way down from Baguio, we stopped here to have breakfast.  It was 3 hours from Baguio and another 2 1/2 hours to Manila from this place.

We spent more time touring and taking photos rather than eating.  But the food was very good and reasonable.  The huts where you dine are floating on water.  They have games which you can play if you want to win a kilo of fish – crossing this narrow bridge and the monkey game – and you can throw plates on the wall to release your anger 🙂

According to the waiter, anyone can come in even if you do not eat. So make sure to pass by ( you will not miss it ) even to just make a wish to the giant Buddha!
