We boarded early morning the next day and traveled from Kamloops to Banff

There is really not much to do on board the train.  But be assured that you will be so busy looking at views, taking photos and for sure they will feed you from beginning till the end!!!  It is an 8 hour journey and you will be eating probably half of that time and in between you can have drinks as much as you want

They have 2 chefs on board per cart to prepare the meals.  Here is one of our chefs who even gave us freshly baked cookies 

There are 2 seatings on the train since not everyone fits in the dining room.  We take turns with the group in our car. So while we are waiting for breakfast they give you freshly made scones with jam and butter.  They make sure there’s a napkin under every item on the table so it doesn’t slide and fall  on board the @rockymountaineer #RockyMountaineer #CanadianRockies #H2HCanadianRockies #sconesLove the butter stack 🙂

Before lunch they serve cheese and wine 🙂  You will really never go hungry or thirsty on board the Rocky Mountaineer! The dining room You have to choose your entree.  We strategies and order different dishes so we can try them.  It is the same menu so depending on where you are going – you will have a chance to try 2 or 3 dishes per meal on the long menu 🙂

Mushroom soup!! Delicious Squash soup  Roma tomato salad with feta cheese and red onions and mustard seed dressing – YUM!!!  Tuna Nicoise salad

Smokey Mushroom Burger – A mouthwatering 8 oz. Canadian Angus beef patty with light mesquite seasoning stacked in a toasted pretzel bun with sliced Portobella mushrooms and smoked Canadian cheddar. Served with house made ketchup and a crunchy slaw  Pacific Prawn bowlSteelhead Salmon

Dessert 🙂  Drinks on board – just request what you like  I only drink water or hot chocolate haha!!

 Mom wanted to go see the Canadian Rockies, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the ways to get there is to take the Rocky Mountaineer.   We were so early!  We were the first in the station 🙂Drink station open for all passengers 🙂
  You can even take some books for reading

A warm welcome at the Rocky Mountaineer @rockymountaineer station – coffee and drinks, Beautiful music on the piano, a Filipina, Rosanna, who checked us in and has been working with Rocky Mountaineer for 14 years,   a bag piper and the train whistle and shouting “All aboard” for passengers to board the train  #RockyMountaineer #CanadianRockies #H2HCanadianRockies  There were 600 passengers who journeyed with us in this railway.  Just like an airplane or any transport, there are different classes to choose from.  This is the Gold Leaf section which is a double deck cabin.  You stay on top with with a glass dome so you can appreciate views even above you 🙂   #H2HCanadianRockies #RockyMountaineer #CanadianRockies  The staff were all so helpful and friendly from beginning til end. They had 2 chefs on board to prepare the meals and 4 staff ( Kim, Alix, Miguel and Erin) per cart.
