Heart2Heart loves anything Sarsa 🙂 which means anything Chef JP Anglo 🙂 which means I knew I would love this place even before I walked in 🙂 which I means I love anything Filipino 🙂

Chef JP told me that his wish is that he can make Sarsa and all his restaurants a platform for Filipino food to be recognised and I think he is doing a great job. We always take it for granted but it is important and I wish more people especially foreigners would appreciate our cuisine

Brother -Sister tandem Tracie Anglo Dizon and Chef JP Anglo. Congratulations once again!!! This is the fourth branch already. Chef JP told me that his partners which includes Binky Dizon, Tracie’s husband, and Jeremy Sy have very high standards. They had 20 food tastings before they finalised the line up. And Chef JP said that he will be changing the menu every now and then so that is even more exciting

I am all for fusion and experimentation and doing things differently. I know that some people like the basics or just go back for the same thing, but I love trying new flavours, new dishes with a twist which makes me want to try new things all the time. I came to Kafé Batwan expecting a new experience or else they would have named it Sarsa! And as Chef JP says, they took the bold move to do a modern Filipino restaurant in Rockwell because he knew the market there would understand. As Heart2Heart always says, No expectations, no disappointments 🙂

Chef JP told me that he has Chinese roots, a Chinese Uncle who taught him how to cook Chinese food and he has a 10 year old Chinese restaurant in Bacolod. WOW! I want to try that!!!! This explains the Chinese influences in his dishes

Yay!!!! A place that serves breakfast!!!! My Mom will be so happy!!! I want to try the breakfast dishes even when it’s not breakfast!!!!

Love these adventures!! Thank you Alexis and Bambi for taking us here!!

We came early to beat the crowd. The place was jam packed at a certain time! I forgot what time I was so busy eating the crab! haha!!

Bambi and Alexis had already bought all the seafood and had it cooked so when we arrived we just waited for it to be served

I just concentrated on this! 🙂 We came here for this. Salted egg yolk crab!

It was bit hard to eat so I was really having a hard time getting the kaman from the crab but I just kept going and going haha!!

OMG! Look at that butter – actually its margarine – but its okay

We had so much food!!!

The happy London gang! Back to back Tsukiji seafood and Seaside seafood ! YUM! Enjoying this too much 🙂

On the way out we saw this in another table and they were taking photos, so i asked if I could take as well! haha!! Gigantic lobster sashimi. I don’t really eat this just amazed at its size. Mom says the big ones are not really that tender. Well, I would not know 🙂
