Happy Birthday to my Mom, my beautiful Mom! This is sort of my tribute to her 🙂
I love these old photos of Mom…I am not sure if she is modelling for Rustan’s or she is just posing for the camera. But Mom was definitely a very fashionable lady eversince…and surely a BEAUTIFUL one!
Mom is about to give birth to my eldest brother here, who would have known she was even pregnant! I never looked like that when I was about to pop!
In this photo, she is also pregnant with me inside, again, who would have thought she was pregnant?? Mom had all of us one after the other, year after year except for Quito the youngest. So every year she was pregnant for four years!
Mom always looking so prim and proper!
This I remember was a jewelry ad for Rustan’s! Mom should have been a professional model but she only did it for Rustan’s. Truly beautiful!
About two weeks ago, the girls went to watch this movie! I loved the movie…maybe because I could relate to the character in the movie ? 🙂

I especially liked the part where she talks about not being able to sleep at night…because she has to do THE LIST! I catch myself doing this a lot of times! which explains why I can’t sleep sometimes 🙂 There are just so many other nice and funny parts in the movie
And how do we really balance everything we have to do in life between work, friends and family…… this film answers that question…and in real life, we all just have to find that balance and know our priorities 🙂
The DKNY Fall Winter 2011 AD campaign shows a new perspective with a more sophisticated and dressed-up look for fall and went uptown with a downtown edge.
Lensed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the photos show the evolution and the different facets of a woman’s life and featured the New York City as the backdrop.
The lifestyle campaign is inspired by the power of a woman, the new lifestyle campaign depicts how the original aspiration of Rosemary 25 years ago has become today’s reality – a woman who is involved and makes a difference. The campaign also featured the backdrop, New York City. But instead of making the city anonymous, the photographers shot the city in a new light and gave it more individuality and personality through its architecture.
In the Philippines, DKNY is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is located at, Greenbelt 5, Rockwell, Rustan’s Makati, 158 Designer’s BoulevardAlabangTownCenter, New Port Mall.
We are Philippine Wake School, a private sector that aims to produce top athletes in the growing sports wakeboard and wakeskate in the Philippines. Our first goal is to introduce the sports to everyone by holding fun camps and clinics in different spots. Our second goal is to unite the local wake community and help the sports to grow by holding events and friendly competitions. Our third goal is to support our local talented athletes by eventually providing them with sport equipments for their training and sponsorships for competitions to represent our country. One of our goals is to promote our country. The Philippines is an archipelago composed of islands and warm bodies of water and our weather suits riding all year, thus making our country a perfect place for riding.
Our events are the following:
Operation Wake Camp – The Ultimate Wake Camp Experience for Everyone!
Operation Wake Camp is a wakeboard and wakeskate camp for all ages, from beginners to intermediate level. It’s not just an all wakeboard and wakeskate experience, but the camp also offers other fun off-wake activities! We believe that it’s more fun to ride and to progress if you ride with your friends that’s why at Operation Wake Camp, we make sure that we’ll give you the best wakeboard experience ever! This is the first ever camp in the country. The first one was held in CWC, Camarines Sur and was called Ladies’ First, an all girls wakeboarding camp. Now Philippine Wake School focuses on holding cable wakeboarding camps and boat clinics in areas such as Davao, Pampanga, Cebu, Laguna and Ilocos.
Steezy Sesh
If we have Operation Wake Camp for people who have never tried wakeboarding before and want to give it a shot, we also have Steezy Sesh for aspiring wakeboarders and wakeskaters to progress and learn new signature tricks from professional athletes. The coaches are professional wakeboarders and wakeskaters who are invited to teach and share their signature tricks. This is a good opportunity for the growing community of wakeboarders and wakeskaters in the country to progress in the sport by learning straight from their favorite athletes.
Roxy Skirt Day Sunday
Skirt Day Sunday is a barbeque party and riding session for girls. We have this event just for the girls because we want to give special attention to local girl wakeboarders and wakeskaters to encourage them to try the sport. This is a fun event for the girls to bond and to have something to look forward to every Sunday!
We would like to tie-up with your campus and explore the possibility of adding wakeboarding to the students’ extra sport activities. The sport is growing in the Philippines and it’s a good venue because of our weather and water. We are also getting a lot of support from local and international brands. Should you want to know more about us, we are welcome to meet and discuss further about our intentions. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
here are some info for the Operation wake camp dates. the kids might be interested to join our camps.

Coming from the success of Metrowear Icon: Oliver Tolentino, Metro Society, once again, pays tribute to a Filipino talent and National Artist who has embodied Philippine fashion aesthetic with his intricate beadwork and hand-painted fabrics. In partnership with ABS-CBN, The Lifestyle Network and in cooperation with the Binibining Pilipinas charities, Metro Society is proud to present Jose “Pitoy” Moreno: A Tribute Gala.
Known worldwide as the Fashion Czar of Asia, Pitoy Moreno has been an inspiration to both much-admired and aspiring designers for over 50 years. He has dressed the most elegant women here and abroad yet still embracing, and staying true to, his Filipino roots. His muses from the early days who have become his close friends and most loyal clients include Toni Parsons, Stella Marquez-Araneta, Gloria Diaz, Tingting Cojuangco, Conchitina Bernardo, and Aurora Pijuan.
Skilled at the art of creating formal Filipinianas such as splendid ternos with vertical butterfly sleeves and cinched waists and 19th century-inspired Maria Clara’s with shoulders draped by pañuelos, it is said that he has taken French fashion greats Pierre Balmain and Pierre Cardin by surprise when he presented a high fashion collection at a show staged by the Philippine embassy in Paris.
Pitoy has staged 43 (and counting) shows in every major city from Paris, Moscow, Rome, Madrid, New York, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Tokyo, Cebu, and Davao. Even with over 50 years of experience, he still maintains his old-fashioned lifestyle as he continues to receive daily clients without any office staff and keeping only five full-time sewers at his atelier.
The biggest fashion event of the year, the Metro Society Jose “Pitoy” Moreno: A Tribute Galais in celebration of the genius, artistry and creativity of the acclaimed Filipino designer. The show, to be held on the 21st of November at the Isla Ballroom of EDSA Shangri-La Manila, will feature over 100 pieces that encapsulate his exquisite collection of Philippine costumes, extraordinary couture gowns, and beautifully crafted ternos.
For those interested in watching the Jose “Pitoy” Moreno: A Tribute Gala, tickets are available at P5, 000 each. Proceeds will be for the beneficiaries of the Lopez Group Foundation’s (LGFI) assisted community programs and projects. LGFI coordinates the Lopez Group’s corporate social responsibility initiatives focused on education, health and wellness, humanitarian assistance, livelihood, environment, and the promotion of Philippine arts and culture.
