I heard about this place from my friend, Des. So we went to check out the place. It’s around 17 km. away from the center of Subic and near the other outdoor activities like Ocean Adventure, Zoobic and on the way to Anvaya Cove. Since it was storming, there was hardly anyone out but the place was fully booked with 48 rooms. We liked the Casitas on top of the beach shore

Everytime we go on out of town trips, if I can bring with me my comforter and pillows, I take them along with me. It helps me adjust and be more comfortable in a bed that is not our usual
I love this big fabric chest that my cousin, Ana, gave me a few years back. I use it to store my extra comforter and when we are going to travel, I just pull it out and bring it along in the car. I love it! I need one more for my pillows, for now they go into a disposable garbage bag 🙂
when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead.
He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside himhad been dead for years.
He wondered where the road was leading them.
After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road.
It looked like fine marble..
At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch thatglowed in the sunlight.
When he was standing before it, he saw a magnificentgate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl,and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold.
He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.
When he was close enough, he called out, ‘Excuse me, where are we?’
‘This is Heaven, sir,’ the man answered.
‘Wow! Would you happen to have some water?’ the man asked.
‘Of course, sir. Come right in, and I’ll have some icewater brought right up.’
The man gestured, and the gate began to open.‘Can my friend,’ gesturing toward his dog, ‘come in, too?’the traveler asked.
‘I’m sorry, sir, but we don’t accept pets.’
The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going with his dog.
After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill,he came to a dirt road leading through a farm gatethat looked as if it had never been closed.
There was no fence.
As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book….
‘Excuse me!’ he called to the man. ‘Do you have any water?’
‘Yeah, sure, there’s a pump over there, come on in.’
‘How about my friend here?’ the traveller gestured to the dog.
‘There should be a bowl by the pump,’ said the man.
They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it.
The traveller filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog.
When they were full, he and the dog walked backtoward the man who was standing by the tree.
‘What do you call this place?’ the traveller asked.
‘This is Heaven,’ he answered.
‘Well, that’s confusing,’ the traveller said.
‘The man down the road said that was Heaven, too.’
‘Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates?Nope. That’s hell.’
‘Doesn’t it make you mad for them to use your name like that?’
‘No, we’re just happy that they screen outthe folks who would leave their best friends behind.’
Thank you to Smart Infinity for a lovely evening at the CCP!!!
I am into noticing chandeliers nowadays and of course noticed this as soon as I entered… a beautiful Filipiniana piece
I invited my good friend and ballerina, Maritoni and she brought along one of her ballerina friends, Liza dela Fuente-Castañeda
and of course my bestfriend, Eds and it was so nice to bump into Nay Nay
When I saw the friend of Eds with these little girls, I remember the days when Lola Glecy or Mom would take me and my sister to the CCP regularly and it was really a formal affair. Mom would dress us up and everyone else was in their formal attire. We had fond memories of the ballet…I miss those days
and bumping into more familiar faces- Bernice and her Mom and Eds’ cousin
All in all, I am so happy that our batch is reuniting and getting in touch with each other because of our forthcoming Velada. It’s a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of bonding
We have our last fundraiser and since March this year we have been meeting….
I appointed committee heads and they have been very helpful. THANK YOU!!!
Thank you M. Donnie and Crix for sharing your beautiful home with all of us! They told us that they had bought the house as it is and just renovated it. It took a year
M. Donnie told me that he totally left everything to Crickette. Crix told us that she always keeps all her things and furniture pieces and uses them depending on what will fit in each part of the house. So if it is a piece from an old house, she either uses it again or if it does not fit, she will store it somewhere or park it in one of her sibling’s places 🙂 She worked closely with Interior designer, Andrew Laurel.
M. Donnie’s “Mancave” 🙂
Of course! 🙂
And Of course, a beautiful portrait of Mom 🙂
And Crix has her own place too
And a sketch by Bencab!! WOW!!! Crix told me that Bencab did this for charity and she had to pay P 50,000 to have this done and the money went to charity. Priceless!
Going up to the rooms
Family room
A home gym! They are such health buffs! That is why they are all so fit and trim
Christian’s room
The Twins’ room
and the Master Bedroom
M. Donnie’s nook in the bedroom where he works and prays! Crix is so lucky to have him !!! and of course the other way around too 🙂
