As part of Immaculate Conception Academy, Greenhills’ 75th anniversary celebration as the first Chinese-Filipino Catholic School in the country, the ICA Alumnae Association has launched a book entitled A Cut Above.

The objective of the ICA Alumnae Association is to continue and reinforce the formation that the school instituted.  And true to the ideals of ICA, the seeds that were planted have borne much fruit:  many ICA students and alumnae have made significant—although some quiet and uncelebrated—contributions to society in their profession, vocation, mission…and in faith.

We have gotten to know our customers around the world for five minutes at a time over the past 40 years. Each moment of connection we have, every personalized beverage we make, helps make our customer’s day special.  Whether it is receiving that perfect beverage from across the bar or a moment shared with friends over an indulgent treat paired perfectly with a Cocoa Cappuccino, our customers return for inspired moments that begin with human connection.

As we move into the next 40 years as a company and as a brand, we are thanking our customers with inspired levels of customer service, a dedication to the highest quality of espresso excellence they have come to depend on us for, exceptional coffees such as Starbucks Tribute Blend™, and a renewal of our brand to inspire what the future holds

And the best way to show our gratitude for the past 40 years and the next 40 is to give back to the communities we serve in the biggest way, as only Starbucks can

The Iced Cocoa Cappuccino features a new twist on a classic beverage.  Fresh espresso and bittersweet mocha sauce  is layered with just the right amount of cold milk and ice, which is then topped with foam and finished with a drizzle of mocha sauce and a dusting of cocoa powder.

Banana Republic Spring Summer 2011

By | Fashion, Summer, What's New at Rustan's | No Comments

Travel. Discover. Explore. This forward moving energy informs the spring and summer collections as endless versatility, effortless shapes and tactile finishes lend a palpable air of discovery to each piece. With a focus on adaptability and uncomplicated ease—key Banana Republic signatures—all make fitting additions to a modern wayfarer’s valise.

A survey of the season’s new neutrals starts with a range of airy whites. Evolving like light and shadow at midday, the subdued gradient sweeps from warm ivory to cool ecru, and on into a handful of quiet prints. Silhouettes are equally as relaxed: dropwaist dresses, breezy maxi skirts and liquid like sheaths form her indispensible wardrobe while drawstring linen pants, washed leather blazers, and tailored knits round out his.

 01-custom.jpg02-custom.jpg03-custom.jpg04-custom.jpg05-custom.jpg06-custom.jpg07-custom.jpg08-custom.jpg09-custom.jpg10-custom.jpg11-custom.jpg12-custom.jpg13-custom.jpg

The subtle washes of color crest and break into a series of oceanic hues from watery blue to slate grays, where authentic textures pervade. Slub cotton leggings are topped off with a denim military blazer and boxy parachute blouses fit with trim tulip skirts, creating a clever sense of whimsy. Menswear echoes this lighthearted exchange as chambray oxfords loosen up patch?pocket safari jackets while streamlined exteriors in salty gray hues add polish to heather sweatshirts.

14-custom.jpg15-custom.jpg16-custom.jpg17-custom.jpg18-custom.jpg19-custom.jpg20-custom.jpg21-custom.jpg

Utilitarian classics—each as easy to wear as it is to build upon—provide the perfect foundation for a leisurely tour through summer’s lush rainforest prints and exotic patterns. Fresh combinations of texture and proportion are explored with a sense of romantic wanderlust: a batik midi skirt warms up a short trench dress, cargo pants become sophisticated when rendered in liquid like tencel, while floral blooms put a distinctly feminine spin on tailored safari jackets. And with a wedge heel and sculptural straps, the neutral Belmont heel is well suited for any excursion.

Likewise, his adventurous separates—such as the slim cargo pant, patch?pocket shirts, walking shorts and suede Clarks desert boots—make transitions easy to navigate. A palette of muted spice tones acts as the harmonious underpinning to the contemporary Continental essentials including madras shirting, inviting Henley knits and heritage army jackets in cool khaki or olive drab—even a witty flash of paisley.

The journey continues through floribunda territory as graceful bloom-covered dresses, ranging from dainty hand-drawn florals to exuberant watercolors, add the final punctuation to a season of artful statements. Distinctive embellishments culled along the way—market scarves, supple leather totes, burnished pendants, wood bead clutches and soft-brim hats—recall the treasured mementos from a traveler’s diary.
