Gyudon

By | Travel, Yummy! | One Comment

We were looking for somewhere to eat for breakfast and we chose this place

You choose what you want in the vending machine and you pay through the machine and you get a coupon or ticket which you just show to the servers to claim your food.  Thanks to their photos we can order!

Grab any empty seat, give the coupon/ticket and then wait for your food – simple, easy and yummy! 😉

We did not touch any of the sauces because we just did not know what each one was

Asakusa

By | Travel | No Comments

After the Meiji Shrine and driving around the Imperial Palace, our last part of the tour of the day was the Asakusa shopping street.  This was our first time to go here.  It was a saturday and the street was jampacked!   I do not know if it was because it was a weekend but it was very busy.  But the shops are nice because they are all japanese items.  It’s like a market but it is very clean and organized.  We had only 30 minutes so just walking the whole street and taking photos was not even enough

Our first stop was this place which sells kimonos.  Dad likes the Jinbet which is very comfortable and uses as his lounging outfit at home

I could not resist, I was dying to try this and I love green tea flavor, so I had one.  It was so YUMMY!!!  And the girl told me that I cannot walk around and eat it and that I had to finish it in the shop.  Apparently I heard from a Japanese friend, it is not polite to eat while walking in Japan

I do not know what they are lining up for but it was some food stall that was really crowded

Tonkatsu

By | Foodie, Travel | 2 Comments

Our first Japanese meal in Tokyo!  It’s easy to just go to any department store – go to the top floor where they have many kinds of restaurants to choose from.  It’s convenient because it is all on the same floor and you just choose what you want

img_0275.JPG

This poster outside caught our attention and we chose to have tonkatsu.  We do not even know the name of the restaurant 🙂 It’s all in Japanese.  Thanks to the photos and the mock ups plus sign language! 🙂

Love Love japanese tonkatsu!!!!!

I love it that they have pink salt!

img_0253.jpg

They give you these seeds and wooden stick that you have to crush

img_0262.JPGimg_0265.JPG

 add the tonkatsu sauce

img_0258.JPG

Then mix with the seeds..YUMMY! 🙂

We would not miss out on an opporunity to be with Lola and with the family!  Thanks to Tita Agnes for arranging everything! It was nice because we did some touring and our first stop was the Meiji Shrine.

Shomal Kebabs and Curries by Hossein

By | Foodie | No Comments

I am discovering more of Trinoma mall ever since Golden Spoon opened here.  And I am happy that my friend, Mr. Hossein, has a restaurant here.  Brenda and I didn’t have to think hard where we wanted to eat in the mall.  We had our usual order which we shared – beef kebab, Mirsa Qasemi and fried rice!  Yummy! 🙂
