Thanks to the vision of Governor Tad Abello, the Mahogany park has now, something for all ages. More and more people are enjoying outdoor fitness activities with marathons, triathlons taking place on a weekly basis all over the country.
The park now has a nicely laid out set of fitness equipment for park goers and village runners to incorporate in their fitness programs. The layout incorporates a circuit around the perimeter of the park, a separate warm-up/cardio area and a stretching area.
As I heard from one of the villagers, ” This is the BEST thing the village ever did!”

This is a photo of my grocery cart in KMart in Guam! ( Shopping in Guam July 30, 2009 ) This is a true story from last year! I finished everything on the shelf! I came back two or three times, so this was the last hurrah cart 🙂 I have been looking all over the world for these because this is one of my favorite cheese snacks. I brought these all home and gave some away and the rest I kept in the closet as these were valuable stocks!
See how cheesy they are!!!
The secret to make it even more cheesy is to open the package, fold the top and seal it with a bag clip- keep it like that for maybe a day and eat it the next day- hmmm…. MORE YUMMY AND MORE CHEESY!! I thought I was the only one who noticed it, but even my sister and my husband noticed it when they would get from my stash!
I contacted them because I wanted to bring them here to our country so that more people can enjoy this delicious CHEESE CURLS!!! So, now they are in the Philippines already!!!!
And I discovered this too!! SNACK FRIEZ. Also very cheesy and so YUMMY!!! It comes in sticks like french fries
And of course Cheese nachos!!!

For spring 2010, Bottega Veneta presents a collection of focused simplicity and individuality. The palette is spare — expanses of white, ivory, canvas, and straw delineated by strokes of egg yolk yellow, Delft blue, orchid, and fever red. The occasional solid-color silhouette mirrors the painterly effect, brightly punctuating the clean span of the collection.
Materials range from plain weave cotton canvas and cotton batiste to extraordinary blends of silk and viscose, silk and cotton, and silk and linen that gently outline the body
The silhouette is boxy, architectural, designed for maximum range of movement. Fabric is draped and wrapped, or cut asymmetrically to circle back upon itself, or constructed without seams to enable and enhance the body’s motion.
Pleats and folding are structural as well as decorative, adding shape and functional features like pockets. Dresses, tunics, and pants predominate, the dresses and tunics nipped in with stitched cotton belts, the pants cut square and roomy in various lengths. There are one-piece coveralls, as straightforward as uniforms, and shirts of cotton canvas with the ease of a smock.
The season’s shoes are inspired by the espadrilles and handcrafted of raffia, leather, patent leather, lizard, and other materials. Artisan techniques center on the simple strip, which is crossed, woven, wrapped, stitched, and tied. Soles are sometimes flat, thick, and wrapped with straw, other times they are organic shaped wedges sheathed in leather. Handbags are generously sized and either pale or brightly colored.
There are top-handled bags of tissue-soft cloth leather, clutches of hand-painted goatskin, and a Cabat woven from straw-like strips of nappa leather. Constructed with new invisible aluminum hardware, the handbags are remarkably lightweight. The final element in the composition is jewelry, large, sculptural, and expressive, made from antique sterling silver with rock crystal, yellow jade, mother of pearl, white Kogolong, and natural horn.
“Creative collaboration inspires much of what we do at Bottega Veneta,” says Creative Director Tomas Maier. “This season, we expanded on that fact, designing as if in collaboration with the woman wearing our clothes. In a sense, the clothes are ‘blank’ until she puts them on. Then the shape of her body, her movements, and the colors of her shoes, her bag, her jewelry — all these personal characteristics and choices complete the look.”
In the Philippines, Bottega Veneta is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is located at Greenbelt 4, Ayala Center, Makati and Rustan’s Makati.

We recently came from our friend’s house to once again drool over the beautiful art collection they have. Around 13 years ago, we met them and they introduced us to Philippine Art and we immediately had an instant appreciation for it.
My personal favorite is Anita Magsaysay-Ho, aside from the many stories from Mom about how wonderful a person she is, she is a great artist! I have not seen as many works of hers in one place, As we all know, it is very difficult to acquire her works
She even made portraits of their two sons! Wow!
A diptyque – and again one of the sons is in the painting- the little boy on the ground
This is my most favorite of them all which is specially displayed in the master bedroom 🙂
A 1978 Manansala which is absolutely beautiful!
Mauro Malang- Santos, another of our favorites
Soler San Pedro Santos, son of Malang

A grosgrain ribbon, a gift plaque and a brilliant creative idea. This is how an icon is born: the Vara bow, an emblem of the brand.
Created in 1979 by Fiamma Ferragamo, eldest daughter of Salvatore, to decorate the ballerina of the same name, the Vara bow immediately established itself as one of the maison’s icons and has since been used creatively in all the accessory collections due to its clean and elegant lines.
Salvatore Ferragamo Sunglasses are launching a model which pays tribute to the Vara, featuring an acetate frame, in monochrome or a sophisticated tortoiseshell effect, with sober lines and a distinct Sixties flavour.
The sunglasses are decorated by an exquisite gold or silver coloured miniature Vara bow. The brand logo is engraved at the center of the small buckle and the bow itself is laser finished to evoke the original grosgrain ribbon. Available in a palette of black acetate, dark Havana, blue, ruby, and beige, to frame tone-on-tone fume lenses.
The Vara model will be available globally, exclusively in Ferragamo boutiques from January 2010.
In the Philippines, Salvatore Ferragamo is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. (SSI) and is located at Power Plant Mall, Greenbelt 4, Rustan’s Tower, Rustan’s Makati, Alabang Town Centre and Rustan’s Ayala Cebu.

Again, our Mom never ceases to amaze us! She actually had a table made big enough to fit all of us in one table!!! We are a big family of 18 including grandchildren. Mom and Dad are really serious when they mean that we have to EAT TOGETHER! 🙂 So now Mom has her regular round dining table ( The Round Dining Table July 22, 2008) and she can switch and bring out her rectangle gigantic dining table to fit us all! 🙂
The family loves Mongolian buffet ( Crab and Mongolian BBQ Dinner June 8, 2009 ) prepared by Mom! It’s one of our favorites. And being a big family, sometimes it is easier to prepare Mongolian and we enjoy it because we make our own concoctions.
