We were so happy to arrive in our home in Dumaguete, Florentina Homes. It’s like we are in a fairytale castle 🙂 We used this as our base to go around Negros Oriental
It’s owned by the del Prado family 🙂 Mig mentioned this to me before when they first opened in 2010 and I am so happy we finally got here. We love it in Florentina Homes, it fits so well the adventurous and rustic province of Negros Oriental. We feel so at home and cozy here

There are three floors in the castle
I like the third floor 🙂 though we stayed in the second floor which is easier to get to since you have to climb stairs 🙂 haha
The beds are two twin beds. We got two rooms and we were so happy it was connecting 🙂
Each room has a balcony 🙂
There are two special rooms in this place – The Tower Room and the Garden Room
We visited the Tower Room which has two floors
As you enter
Turn left and you have an outdoor living room
Kitchenette
And the outdoor bathroom of the room 🙂
Then you go up the stairs to go to the bedroom which is air-conditioned
From the Tower room you can look down at the Garden room. It’s the only room in the place that has its own garden. We could not see it because it was booked. Someone had booked it long term. Tita Georgia told us this is the best room in the place

Aside from the castle area, there are 3 cottages which is good for families

What an interesting hotel! We went here instead for lunch since I wanted to try this restaurant too which is named after me 🙂 Rica’s 🙂

All the staff wear these spectacles with no lens 🙂 which is part of the feel of the hotel:-)
HC is the initials of the owner which they kept confidential. But it’s owned by Innovotera Properties Inc and managed by Hospitality Intl Inc – same ones who manage Picasso Salcedo Village in Manila. The hotel is two years old and used to be owned by a German and was called the House of Cebu. They will be opening a hotel in Manila in the Pasay area
Rica’s which is named maybe after the wife or daughter of the owner. It’s the restaurant of the hotel so we figured it would be open for all meals

In the Berkely hotel there is also the Caramel Room where they are known for their high tea and this is where we dined that afternoon
This is the best high tea Heart2heart has ever had in her life!
Aside from the usual high tea tradition of tea and scones, there was a theme to this
A Fashionistas Afternoon Tea!!!
I had the most unique tea I have ever tasted – Well Being Fruit Infusion: Funky Fruits, Posh pomelo and Melon. They served the cup with the fruits and then poured the hot water on it – it was a sweet tea which I really enjoyed 🙂
Everything on the tray had an inspiration. And they just did not look pretty but they tasted good too
We ordered scones on the side as an addition and it was so good!
I saw the other ladies taking out some of their leftovers so I made sure I took some home too so I could have the cute bag box 🙂

Suharto and Rina took us to the Berkely Hotel in Knightsbridge
Toured us to the Blue Bar designed by David Collins. This exclusive London bar is famed for its imaginative cocktails and extensive list of vintage champagne
As we were walking around, we saw this nice platter about to be served to one of the guests in the Blue bar

Aside from the place being an events venue and because of the demand, they put up a hotel for the guests to stay in as well. It is interior designed by Anton Barreto which explains the elegant design of the whole place!
I love the touches of the prints and accessories in the hallways
with a beautiful view of the pool
Suites – Lily and Lilac. These come included with the package if you book in Hillcreek Gardens
Lily which I like because it has the pool and garden view
There are also family rooms which can really fit a lot!!! This is in the basement floor
More rooms – also given as part of the package or you can just rent them

This is the view of the hotel from one side of the place – on top is another venue for weddings/events
This is being used for private dinners and for pictorials. Many brides want their pictorial done here
Hillcreek even provides a salon and spa! Salon for the events so there is a proper area to groom rather than using the hotel room to put make up and to do hair styling
