We had 2 more days on board the ship. And each day we visited a glacier.
Arrived at our next destination – Glacier Bay, Alaska View from the aft ( rear) of the ship

Covering 3.3 million acres of rugged mountains, dynamic glaciers, temperate rainforest, wild coastlines and deep sheltered fjords, Glacier Bay National Park is part of a 25-million acre World Heritage Site—one of the world’s largest international protected areas. #GlacierBay #GlacierBayAlaska #Alaska #CrystalCruise #UNESCOWorldHeritageSite #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 Margerie Glacier. A National Geographic moment #H2HNationalGeographic at Glacier Bay. Watch from beginning to end with sound. Glacier calving. It happened exactly when we were in front of it #GlacierBayAlaska #Alaska #Glacier #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 #CrystalCruise #UNESCOWorldHeritageSite
You can also view whats happening from your room, just open your tv 🙂 That is a lazy ay but only because it was quite early in the morning. But some people really stay outside and watch the view on the way to the glacire
The last stop of our cruise. Hubbard Glacier. Hubbard Glacier. The most active glacier. We could not go too near because it was too icy – 75 miles long and covering over 1,350 sq miles in area, it is North America’s largest tidewater glacier- one which reaches the sea. It is also one of the most impressive, a 300 foot wall of ice rising sheer and jagged from the ocean. Making the most of our last day on the ship- Mom has been wanting to try the high tea but had no time. High tea in the Palm Court Sunset Deck on board the Crystal Cruise @crystalcruises #CrystalCruise #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 #Hightea #H2HHighTea Many of the guests on the cruise are senior and they like to dress up. Mom is always dressed haha. Take note she likes her pleats by Issey M. so she does not have to press/iron them anymore. She has several which she uses to travel! Travel tip from mom!
I tried and wore a dress haha!! There is an evening they set aside for formal night where they all dress up even in gowns and coat and tie and outside in the lobby, they have picture taking by a professional photographer. So make sure to prepare for that it’s a nice souvenir
Arrived at our 3rd port of destination – Skagaway. We went up to the 13th floor of the ship to a most spectacular surrounding! It was breathtaking. Skagway – A small town with 20 streets and 5 Avenues. Now with a population of 900 people and 2,500 during the summer to cater to the tourists that come on ships. In the 19th century there was a gold rush in Skagway. #Alaska #Skagway #CrystalCruises #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 Even if you just hang out here and just sit down – breathtaking!! The photo does not show it at all
There are many tours but the one my friend Aileen recommended was the White Pass train. We were trained out after the Rocky Mountaineer haha!! so we did not book this but I am sure it is beautiful!!
If you are walking downtown, make sure to check out the Red Onion Saloon and just peek. During the Gold Rush, many men came over and so there were a lot of ladies entertaining them 🙂 during that time
When you book your cruise, you will have to select your dining time. There are 2 seatings for dinner – 6pm and 8pm. This will also determine the time of your show because you take turns in eating and watching shows. If you eat at 6pm you will watch the first show at 8pm. Then those who eat at 8pm will watch the next showing at 10pm Love the plate liners. They change every now and then Just like how you have your butler and maid, you have your servers in the dining room And they are soon to be wed!!:-) There are 2 sides in the menu all the time – Modern Cuisine and Crystal Classic. It’s overwhelming! You can order anything and everything and as much as you want. You can also ask for half portions so you can try more. If you are a big family it is better so you can share and taste more dishes. In the beginning I thought it was the same menu throughout the cruise and so you get to try other dishes each time. But no! The menu changes every meal – lunch and dinner and everyday it changes!! And the food here is good. Don’t eat in Nobu every meal! 🙂 There is a cheese cart which we did not anymore get to touch because we have so much food already on our table Wine is included and there are some drinks that you can just pay for if you prefer
We LOVE all the Pinoys on board!! We are so at home here since there are Pinoys all over. Out of the 500 staff on board, half are Filipino. #CrystalCruises #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 #H2HProudtobePinoy
Dennis and Sigi, Sheila and the 3 Sushi chefs Edgar, Joseph and Sherwin – at Nobu The Silk Road Sushi Bar on board the Crystal Serenity @crystalcruises Some of the Sushi chefs here went to @nobuhotelmanila
The best service ever! Benjamin Montoya is the famous server in the Galaxy lounge so you will see him at night when you watch the shows, but during the day he is assigned in the Lido deck. Nat Villame from Davao has been with Crystal Cruise @crystalcruises for 17 years and has been to 140 countries!!
The longest Pinoy staff in Crystal is Chef Noel who was a pioneer ever since the cruise started. He is in the kitchen behind the scenes.
#CrystalCruises #H2HProudTobePinoy #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 #H2HPeople Arwin and Val are in Computer University
Marlon and Andres are in Trident Bar and Grill making burgers and sandwiches Gerald is the ice cream guy and Rosanno is in the Lido deck – Taste, Trident and Lido Cafe
One of the highlights of the Alaskan adventure! Tracy’s Alaskan King Crab Shack! Make sure to dine here when you go to Junaeu. Aside from having so many option on board the ship, there is still an option for room service!!
If you are in a Penthouse room, you can order room service all you want including the 2 premium restaurants. So even if you are only allowed 2 seatings for the trip for example, not to worry because you can order for room service 🙂 That is my tip for those of you who like to eat Nobu every day 🙂
Because we are late risers and always have to rush to prepare for the morning, Room service is the best bet for us! Just fill out the form at night and put it outside your door or give it to your butler 🙂 Our butler Crunch sees me in pajamas! haha!! Second time we had our breakfast by he balcony because it was a beautiful sunny day at Juneau our next stop! After this breakfast we never had breakfast anymore because we had to diet! haha 🙂 This all you can eat cruise is very fattening so if you do not control yourself you can easily gain 10 pounds in 1 week! View while having breakfast!!!!
Silk Road ( Nobu) room service – King Crab claw tempura, Rock Shrimp tempura, Wagyu sashimi, O Tori and Grilled Australian Wagyu Beef Rib Eye from Greg Norman Signature Ranch on board Crystal Serenity @crystalcruises #CrystalCruise #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 #SilkRoadbyNobu We also ordered from Prego the Italian restaurant!
How beautiful to wake up in the morning and opening your curtains to a different view everyday!!
Cruising the Inside Passage and Arrived at our first port of destination – Ketchikan, Alaska. The salmon capital of the world. #CrystalCruises #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 #Ketchikan And your butler comes in to bring you breakfast!!! 🙂 Thank you Crunch
The night before you fill up your form just like in a hotel and let them know what time you want it served Ketchikan, Alaska – the 4th largest city in Alaska. Ketchikan is an Alaskan city facing the Inside Passage, a popular cruise route along the state’s southeastern coast. It’s known for its many Native American totem poles, on display throughout town. Nearby Misty Fiords National Monument is a glacier-carved wilderness featuring snowcapped mountains, waterfalls and salmon spawning streams. It’s also home to rich wildlife including black bears, wolves and bald eagles. #KetchikanAlaska #Ketchikan #CrystalCruises Pinoys! We took a boat to get to shore. We could not dock because a ship had just crashed into the port!! Atleast we know that the ship has boats that can be used in case of emergency and they are working! 🙂 We did not join any tours for this stop – it’s a good thing because the weather was not too good. But you have to book your excursions in advance so make sure you do this early because they can get full
It was raining and cloudy. But we went to port and walked a few meters to window shop some souvenirs
and then we went to eat haha!! After all the eating we do on board, we go to port to eat again 🙂 Smoked salmon chowder Fish and chips Ketchikan’s favorite crab though maybe we should have had salmon! We were too obsessed with having our Alaskan King Crab! 🙂
