Bubble tent at @wadi_rum_night_luxury_camp What an experience sleeping under the stars – and actually under the moon which moved from one end of our ceiling to the other. It’s not as comfortable as the tents but I wanted to experience it. There are 2 doors and you have to open them one at a time or else your bubble will deflate. There are curtains around the bed for a little privacy #wadirumnightluxurycamp #wadirum #jordan #h2hjordan #h2hholyland #h2hhotels

We drove 4 hours from the Dead Sea and arrived in Petra and had dinner at the home of Amnah Um Aymen – a Jordanian ?? family – truly the best meal is homecooked and made with Mansaf a famous Jordanian dish which can be with lamb, goat or chicken. They prepared goat because they prefer less fat. First time for most of us to try goat. It was so good!!! The yogurt sauce is wow!! Even the baked chicken is so good!! Lentil soup, stuffed cabbage, apple tart and olive oil pastry. They can have a cooking class and teach this ( Mansaf ) wonderful dish! I wish I or someone can learn and bring this to our country! It is super amazing They requested no posts of them in social media but they were a wonderful family #jordan #petra #h2hjordan #h2hholyland #h2hhomemade #masna

The Dead Sea, the lowest point of earth (1,373 ft below sea level) and the largest “natural spa” in the world.
I asked Fr. Michael if there is any religious implication in the Dead Sea and he said none. It was the Red Sea that was in the bible. But Father just put a beautiful meaning in our Dead Sea experience today. Listen to the video. And as Pam @pamelarosario says, “we are bounded for life” because we floated together in the Dead Sea! A once in a lifetime experience I would never have given up even if maybe it was a bit inconvenient or out of our comfort zone. We went in through the Crowne Plaza hotel @crowneplaza which was more private. Dead Sea
* The Dead Sea is not actually a sea but a lake. The beach is very different from a typical beach. There is no sand and the shores consist of a thick layer of crystals that are not particularly soft on the feet. Instead of cool and refreshing water, the water feels thick and warm, almost a little oily from all the minerals it contains.
* Dead Sea water is almost 10 times saltier than that of a typical sea.
* The water is so rich in minerals that they can cause a lot of pain should you have any cuts or open wounds. It’s not recommended to shave before your visit to the Dead Sea
* The only safe way to swim here is on your back. Splashing water in your eyes can sting. Avoid getting your face wet at all times.
* Staying in the water for more than 10 minutes is not recommended. You can get out and go back in, but each time should not be longer than 10 minutes. Rinse off with regular water as soon as you get out.
* Waterproof cameras or mobile phones are not safe in the extremely salty water. Keep all electronics away from the water. #deadseajordan #jordan #h2hjordan #h2hholyland
Recalling the story of Moses and his journey to the Promised Land. At Mount Nebo there is a Memorial for Musa (Moses) and a 4th century church which Italian Franciscan priests excavated and restored in 1933. The panoramic view overlooks the Jordan River Valley, the Dead Sea, Jericho and Jerusalem #mtnebo #jordan #h2hjordan #h2hholyland #moses
