MONTBLANC GLACIER COLLECTION LAUNCH

Montblanc Glacier Collection

Luxury Maison introduces writing instrument, leather goods and watch collections that draw on the mesmerizing icy beauty of the glaciers of the Mont Blanc mountain

A source of inspiration for the Montblanc brand since its inception, the Mont Blanc is a peak that towers high above all other mountains in Europe. This wonder of monumental proportions is also home to glaciers and iced lakes with ice of captivating beauty that have inspired a selection of products featuring distinctive ice designs, across multiple categories.

“Gazing into the depths of this Alpine ice is an incredible experience that we wanted to bring to our products, finding a creative way to create that same sense of awe and wonder. These pieces don’t just emulate the aesthetic appeal of the icy texture but celebrate these glaciers and iced lakes by expressing the spirit of adventure the Mont Blanc inspires in everyone; a spirit that is core to Montblanc’s own attitude towards exploration and the preservation of the great outdoors,” explains Marco Tomasetta, Montblanc Creative Director.

Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date

Looking at the “frozen” dial of Montblanc’s first ever certified diving watch is like diving through the ice into the glacial waters beneath, reproducing the texture of ice with its interlocking network of crystals that have been frozen in time for millennia. In a technical feat, Montblanc dial makers have created the illusion of looking into the depths of a glacier. The Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date comes in a 41mm stainless steel case with a bicolour ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel and a case back featuring a 3D relief engraving of an iceberg and a scuba diver exploring the glacial waters below.

The interchangeable V-shaped stainless-steel bracelet can be quickly and easily switched for a rubber strap without the use of any tools. Not only is the bracelet interchangeable, but it is also adjustable on the wrist, so each owner can find their perfect fit, especially when wearing it over a wet suit. The stainless-steel bracelet also comes with an attractive taper of 20 – 16mm and is secured by a double deployant buckle. The Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date comes in three different dial colours – blue, green, and black – each one representing different colours of glacial ice from around the world.

Montblanc Meisterstück Selection Glacier

The sporty and bold capsule collection of large, small and medium leather goods and accessories features an original blue ice design. Printed on nylon or leather, the glacier design gives the impression of looking through layers of ice into its deep blue depths.  The motif is paired with the new Montblanc M Lock 4810, a pressure closure used in the world of climbing and mountaineering and introduced as a new brand code. Functional outside pockets and closures make it easier to access personal items on the go, and add to the look of the collection, while the zip closures feature a leather pull in the shape of the nib of a Meisterstück writing instrument.

To honour the spirit of the high mountain that inspired the luxury Maison’s own brand name, the capsule is crafted from eco-sustainable materials, underscoring the importance of preserving glaciers and mountains in the future.

Montblanc Meisterstück Glacier While the Mont Blanc’s glaciers have always been expressed in the Maison’s six-point emblem that crowns its writing instruments and the height of the mountain – 4810 metres – etched on its nibs, the new design elements of the Montblanc Meisterstück Glacier collection evoke the awe-inspiring beauty of a disappearing natural treasure. Design features on the four writing instruments that make up the collection include blue/grey and white tones, a PVD coating technology that gives the surface a shimmering ice-like appearance as well as innovative engraving on the Doué and Solitaire editions that resembles the refraction of light when hitting ice crystals. Based on the legend that the Mer de Glace glacier resembles a giant monster hugging the northern slope of Mont Blanc, every nib in the collection is engraved with the Mont Blanc Mer de Glace dragon.

Mommy Carmeling’s bday

By | Blogs | No Comments

Up to this day, Mom continues to bring us together as a family. Happy bday in heaven Mom Carmeling and Nana to the kids. It’s been 16 years since she left us physically but never from our hearts. I remember very well how my husband @james_de_jesus was very close to his mom – also his twin brother John. They really took care of her! And though the only daughter, Dina @dinajcampos also was close and took care of her- not many sons are really close to their mom compared to how I saw my husband treat his mom. I’ll always remember that and it’s one of the things that proved that I married the right man. We all love mom and miss her. I know who to pray to especially if it’s for my hubby #h2htribute

SUPPORT LOCAL FARMERS: EAT AND BOX ALL-YOU-CAN AT AYALA MALLS

Fill your tummy with local fruits and veggies fresh from the province! Ayala Malls under the Alagang AyalaLand Program is supporting Rural Rising (RuRi) in helping Filipino farmers by hosting farmer-to-consumer marketplaces in highly accessible venues around the metro.  Alagang AyalaLand is Ayala’s community engagement program that aims to aid in the country’s road back to recovery by supporting the growth of community-oriented organizations, opening more employment opportunities, providing disaster relief to surrounding communities, and promoting a sustainable environment.

RuRi on the other hand is a non-profit organization that helps distressed Filipino farmers get back on their feet by sending rescue trucks to areas where there is an over-production of produce and paying the farmers above-farm gate prices. Recently, however, with RuRi’s limited capacity, it has been difficult to purchase all their produce and thereby meet the full depth of the farmers’ daily needs. RuRi mused on a Facebook post, “It was by divine providence and perfect timing that Ayala Malls offered the Activity Center of Alabang Town Center (ATC) for three full days to support our cause and bring local goods within the reach of its patrons.”

Box All You Can is no simple shop-till-you-drop gig, instead, participants can collect all the fruits and vegetables they can fit inside a 14x14x8 box within 10 minutes. Ayala Corporation Associate Director Mariana Zobel de Ayala shared “It was so much fun. I love that it was gamified, that there was a time frame, it added a different adrenaline rush to it. And the veggies and fruits were so fresh and so organic, I was really impressed by the whole experience”.

The success of Box-All-You-Can at Alabang Town Center prompted the continuation, as well as a variation, of the acclaimed effort. Ayala Malls and RuRi invite everyone to a Mango Eat-All-You-Can on June 11 for only P200 and a Box-All-You-Can for only P699 on June 12. Both one-day events are happening exclusively at Market! Market! to empower the agricultural sector during the rainy season. RuRi furthered, “Nearing the rainy season, the farmers will have less to sell, there will be less income. This will be their last hurrah for a good price, this is it.”

Mango Eat-All-You-Can on June 11

Ayala Malls is bringing the country’s—if not the world’s—sweetest and most delicious mangoes all the way from Guimaras to Market! Market! For only P200, anyone can eat as much as they can in one glorious sitting. Just like in any buffet, the treats cannot be boxed or taken home. Registrants also have the option to donate the yellow mangoes to a worker, a security guard, a rider, or a driver, for the same price.

The produce varies from fresh beets, carrots, radish, cauliflower, eggplant, cabbage, corn, potato, pineapple, papaya, lettuce, and more. These come all the way from the Cabbage farmers of Cagayan, the Onion farmers of Luzon, the Cauliflower farmers of Ilocos, the Zucchini and Radish farmers of Benguet—and the list goes on!
