Praying Wife Forum by Karen Young

By | Blogs | No Comments

God loves me so much! He never fails to let me know & feel it every day! Today He sent my good friend Karen Young @butterflyinthespring1 who had just arrived from a 2 month trip to Canada & the US and she sent me so many goodies which I love and she immediately made time to talk to me for an hour to send me his message – Psalm 23. She knew that I have been anxious recently. So she talked about Psalm 23 in depth. When you are anxious it’s very hard to get rid of it and really there’s no other way but to know that God is there as our shepherd to protect us, comfort us, guide us, follow us, and love us. What a beautiful session we had. The best therapist!!! Karen has always been my friend who brings me closer to God that’s why I’m always happy in her company and always feel safe. She started this group which she heads called the @praying_wife_forum and she helps many women. Praying W.I.F.E. Forum

Fullhouse Katipunan Chicken crepes

By | Blogs | No Comments

OMG!!! I’m so happy to share this, especially with people who studied at Ateneo & UP in the ’90s!! The famous chicken crepes from Full House @fullhousekatipunan are now available for sale frozen or cooked!!! I ordered frozen and so easy to cook!!! Listen to the crispiness when cutting. Since there was no Instagram yet before and cellphones- I don’t have a photo of how it was before – I remember a bit thinner and cheese sauce on top. This has no extra cheese sauce but there is enough inside!! Yummy!!! It reminds me of my college days and my dates with my hubby who was in UP while I was in Ateneo. Thank you Anette @annettegozonvaldes for posting this!!!! #fullhousekatipunan #h2hfinds #h2hcheese

MAKE IT PERSONAL

Rustan’s celebrates the month of love with personalization services for one-of-a-kind gifts

This Valentine’s, Rustan’s launches MAKE IT PERSONAL, a campaign focused on offering exceptional personalization services to make the act of gifting more meaningful. Personalized gifts stand out because of the extra level of thought that goes into them.

As the world becomes more digital, sometimes we miss out on the deeper interactions we used to have face-to-face. Personalizing a gift affirms a connection, celebrates it, and displays it.

Rustan’s makes it effortless for you to personalize the way you celebrate, appreciate, and give gifts to your loved ones.  It elevates the art of giving by offering multiple services to personalize and create custom gifts in-store, such as hi-speed laser engraving, guest calligraphers, embroidery, handwritten messages and greeting cards.

Expect complimentary engraving and other exciting GWPs when you shop for fashion, home, and luxury gifts from Hermés, Montblanc, Adolfo Dominguez, Pedro del Hierro, Christofle, and more!

Add a Personal Touch

As the old saying goes “it’s the thought that counts,” a personalized gift shows even more thought on the part of the giver.  Not only did the giver choose the product, but they also chose how to personalize it.

“Connections are made more meaningful when they are personalized,” Rustan’s Senior Vice President for Store Expansion, Michael T. Huang says, “We wanted to show our customers though they may not be able to forge connections physically, they can continue to strengthen bonds with loved ones through special gifts that can be personalized.”  At Rustan’s, we help our customers create unique, one-of-a-kind gifts and experiences for all the special people in their lives.

Make your gift even more special with complimentary engraving on glass or metal pieces for a minimum single-receipt purchase of PhP 10,000. This service will be available on February 4 at Rustan’s Alabang, February 5 at Rustan’s Makati, and February 6 at Rustan’s Shangri-la from 1:00PM to 5:00PM. Looking for the perfect pen for your loved one? Choose from Cross, Parker or Sheaffer and have your message engraved for every purchase. A Victorinox Swiss tool with their name makes an excellent gift for the handyman in your life.

On February 5 to 6 and February 12 to 13, customers who will shop at Rustan’s Makati can avail to embroider one piece of clothing from Criselda Lontok, Lady Rustan, Lotus, Luna, Eileen Fisher, Ricardo Preto, Adolfo Dominguez, Karen Kane, Daze, and Pedro del Hierro. Surprise your mom with a chic dress and customize it with an embellished design. Opting for a bag or accessory for your sister? Transform already special items from Momoe, Guasch, Echo Designs, Traveler, Lesportsac and Coccinelle into pieces with personal value by having it embroidered with their initials.

Add a nice touch to Montblanc leather goods and writing instruments with complimentary debossing and engraving from February 1 to 15. Dazzle your loved ones with fine jewelry pieces from Marco Bicego, Damiani and Roberto Coin, and get a free personalized pouch to match your gift. Fragrance has always been a traditional gift every Valentine’s Day. From February 11 to 14, purchase a full-sized Hermés perfume and make it unique and memorable with beautifully hand engraved calligraphy love note.

AMORE: A POST-VALENTINE HOUR WITH CECILE LICAD IN NEW YORK

Megaworld and Rustan’s present an online musical performance by the Filipina Piano Virtuoso, Cecile Licad

Welcome love and romance at Amore: A Post-Valentine Hour with Cecile Licad

in New York. Presented by Megaworld and Rustan’s for the benefit of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra Society, Inc. (PPOSI), the online show will broadcast via Zoom on February 22, 2022, Tuesday at 5:00 PM. The post-Valentine musical event is also sponsored by SSI Group, Inc., Starbucks, San Miguel Corporation, BPI, and Mr. Danny Dolor.

Interwoven with an interview by fellow pianist David Dubal, the fund-raising event headlines a passion-filled repertoire performed by our very own Cecile Licad, including classics beloved from generation to generation.

Filmed in the Historical Ballroom of the Lotos Club in New York City, the hour-and-a-half virtual show by Cecile Licad opens with Frederic Chopin’s Études Op.10 No.3 in E major “Farewell L’ Adieu”.  This is followed by a tug at the heartstrings of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata No. 14 in C Sharp Minor, more popularly known as Moonlight Sonata. Moving to the scintillating and refined melodies of the third piece with Sergie Rachmaninoff’s Prelude op.32 No. 8 in a Minor, Prelude op.23 No.6 in E Flat Major, and Prelude op.23 No.5 in G Minor.

The second half of the performance showcases Frederic Chopin’s Scherzo No. 2 in B-Flat Minor, stirs feelings of tenderness, boldness, love and contempt reminiscent of unfolding drama between lovers. Soul’s Lament (Hibik sa Diwa) by the renowned Filipino composer, Francisco Buencamino, intensifies the atmosphere with feelings of yearning and intense emotion; then it climaxes to the final performance—the brilliant Ballade No. 1 in G Minor by Frederic Chopin, a piece globally considered as one of Chopin’s finest (and most difficult) works.
