Dining on Board the Rocky Mountaineer

By | Canadian Rockies | No Comments

There is really not much to do on board the train.  But be assured that you will be so busy looking at views, taking photos and for sure they will feed you from beginning till the end!!!  It is an 8 hour journey and you will be eating probably half of that time and in between you can have drinks as much as you wantDining on Board the Rocky Mountaineer (33)

They have 2 chefs on board per cart to prepare the meals.  Here is one of our chefsRocky Mountaineer Chef who even gave us freshly baked cookies Rocky Mountaineer cookie

There are 2 seatings on the train since not everyone fits in the dining room.  We take turns with the group in our car. So while we are waiting for breakfast they give you freshly made scones with jam and butter.  They make sure there’s a napkin under every item on the table so it doesn’t slide and fall  on board the @rockymountaineer #RockyMountaineer #CanadianRockies #H2HCanadianRockies #sconesDining on Board the Rocky Mountaineer (27)Love the butter stack 🙂rocky Mountaineer butter

They had 2 chefs on board to prepare the meals and 4 staff ( Kim, Alix, Miguel and Erin) per cart. We were entertained and fed so well and as Miguel said, we will always think of them whenever we are full to the brim  #RockyMountaineer #CanadianRockies #H2HCanadianRockiesRocky Mountaineer (13) Rocky Mountaineer (14) Rocky Mountaineer (16) This is how it looks from the front.  We were lucky to be in front because we could take photos properly without having to stand all the time to go in frontRocky Mountaineer (17) This is the view from the front of the cabinRocky Mountaineer (12)On the other trip we were at the front still but near the barrocky Mountaineer food stationThe Rocky Mountaineer staff waiving goodbye as we leaveRocky Mountaineer (15) When you arrive in your destination, there are buses parked beside the train to take you to your hotelRocky Mountaineer (18)They have a souvenir catalog where you can order your souvenirs.  They will give it to you when you reach Kamloops and you have the option to choose and return from what you ordered based on the actual items you see.  So do not be afraid to order from the catalogrocky Mountaineer souvenir guide
