Taking you behind the scenes of that sumptuos lunch……Lucille is a serious chef which is why she has two kitchens. Her regular kitchen…..
……….and her “serious” kitchen where she does all her “serious” cooking and baking.
For now she does it as a hobby but maybe later on she would like to conduct cooking classes for some friends. What a beautiful kitchen!
With Lucille’s permission, Heart2Heart is also featuring her beautiful home. It is a five year old home designed by Maja Olivares-Co. The house is classic and timeless. Everything was in order and very clean. It is a three storey house with an attic. Lucille showed me her collection of paintings- Isabel Diaz being one of her favorites – and many of the beautiful things she bought from Rustan’s while we were still officemates around 15 years ago – framed Cartier scarves, Tiffany dinnerware, Tiffany ginger urn and an MMA ( Metropolitan Museum of Arts) vase. I particularly like the fact that she has an altar with a beautiful Mother in Child made out of ivory tusk in the middle of the rooms. The Christmas decors were elegantly done by Rustan’s flower shop. No wonder Lucille worked in Rustan’s…she loves Rustan’s just like me 🙂
It has become a yearly tradition to celebrate thanksgiving as Tina prepares a feast for her family…. which includes us. It’s a wonderful family get together and that is what we are thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

My sister had a great idea for our mom’s birthday. She told me to go buy some cupcakes..so i went to Gonuts Donuts to buy some. They had many fancy designs.
Instead of the traditional birthday cake, each of us made our wishes for Mom and gave a cupcake to her to blow. It was a nice and unique way to greet her…..

Carmina told us a few months ago she wanted to have a simple celebration for Iago……small get together like what she has in New York….maybe by the pool….so we referred her to our friends Angellete and Ellie of Jelly Bellies to help her out.
Wow!! If this party is what you call simple, don’t ever forget to invite us to one of your “not simple” parties 🙂 We had a grand time. Thanks so much for inviting us and Happy Birthday to Iago!! He is adorable and growing up so fast!

How compatible can they be? They have the same birthday! And next year will be even a bigger celebration as they get married after four years of being together. Finally Jigger has found the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with…and to think he has so many requirements and qualifications 🙂 May is definitely a good choice!
Thank you Jigger and May for celebrating your special day with us. It was fun taking photos of everyone. It seemed like everyone was so used to posing for the camera 🙂 and we enjoyed the food and the menu selection you picked, definitely the BEST Thai restaurant in the country!!

Sam visits Manila after being away for 5 years as she now resides in New York and is married to Warren Edwards. The New York gang of James- Cherry, Marco, Jackie, Ciara, Jigger, Jessica, May, Carmina, Raffy and James – got together at Sala to welcome her.

It is always a fun celebration when Tina organizes a birthday party for her kids – not only for the kids but the moms and dads as well. The parents are kept busy with crafts on their tables while the kids enjoy the games and lots and lots of prizes. Happy 7th Birthday Georgia!
[email_link]| Dad celebrated his 80th birthday! What a milestone!! We had dinner with just the immediate family and the grandkids came over to greet Dada. Tippi prepared a superb meal…as usual. Dina presented her gift which was a nice video showing old photos and where his close friends greeted him and paid tribute to him. We were all in tears…..Dad is one of the simplest, kindest and most patient man that we know. We love you Dad! |
