Focusing on the creatives of the celebration we had,

Previous entry:  It’s a Good Day to Train Hard July 3, 2015

These were all done by Ina Colayco Bautista in a span of one days planning!  AMAZING! From design to printing 🙂 They turned a simple surprise celebration to a super amazing Die hard themed eventIN C Designs (3)

They do design and layout ( branding/logo design, packaging design and printed collaterals ) Large format printing – tarps, panaflex, posters, vinyl stickers, backlit film, fabric and satin bannersIN C Designs (2)

It is not written here but IN.C came from Incy which was how Ina’s dad used to call her 🙂  So it could mean “Incy”  or INa Colayco 🙂  Ina studied graphics design from Parsons New York City which explains her creativity.  She is also OC ( obsessive compulsive ) but maybe that is not from Parsons 🙂  But I think it is good and can only mean that she is meticulous about what she doesAbout INC Design Studio

Ina is in charge of the creatives and the back office responsibilities and Nich is in charge of marketing and production.  If a couple can work together successfully, they can be married happily too 🙂  ina and nic in c designsINC design studios clients

Timothy Oulton

By | Design, Homes and Interiors, Travel | No Comments

We were window shopping in Harrods in different departments and James sends me a photo of this lighting fixture which he knows I like!!  So I went to where he was to take a look

Then I saw more things which looked very familiar to me!!  I liked the style

timothy-oulton16.jpeg

Apparently the designer is Timothy Oulton who is one of the artisans of the store Restoration Hardware which I love in the States!!  So it is a British designer behind many of the beautiful things at Restoration!

That was the bed section and we asked where the furniture was and so we went to the furniture section!  NICE!!!

Love the column made out of books

timothy-oulton4.jpeg

Love how they put the British flag and the flag colours on the design!  Can we have our local designers do this for the Philippines? 🙂

Loved this wall which was behind the cash register!! It’s a collection of different blue and white antique plates taken from different flea markets and put together here on the wall! It’s for sale at Timothy Oulton

Meeting Migs Rosales

By | Arts and Culture, Design | No Comments

We were so happy to meet Mig Rosales.  We need creative people in our lives! 🙂

meeting-migs-rosales-1.JPG

He designed and did the layout of this book.  He used to do some work for Rustan’s with my cousin Joel.  He is now a freelance creative consultant – for art, for events, for design, for anything that requires creative talent

Christmas Wrappings

By | Christmas, Design | No Comments

I put together a few wrappings which I feel are really unique this year.  I am not creative so I really appreciate how people put together things!

The champion is this one which I received from a very good friend of mine, Arlene.  She is an interior designer and a very creative lady.  She used brown paper and personally wrote a christmas hymn on it!  How personalized can you get?  And what a labor of LOVE 🙂  What was inside is another story and will be featured in the future 🙂

A unique gift tag this time!  I saw this on instagram from Vanessa

In instagram as well, from Kat Holigores

From my brother Quito and Pam!  What a unique and elegant design.  I opened it slowly and removed the scotch tape because I did not want to tear the wrapper! 🙂

I actually prefer gifts wrapped in bags which you can reuse.  I feel bad tearing wrapping paper and throwing them.  I liked this one from our friends Randy and Pia.  I liked the folded top and then she put a green velvet ribbon and a glittered star which made it look really elegant

I like this gift tag because of the crest /logo

I think this is unique too because its not the usual christmas colors.  This was black and orange from Randy and Candy!

Loving pompoms this year!!

Product Development and Design Center of the Philippines by the Department of Trade and Industry

By | Design, Proud to be Pinoy! | 2 Comments

Last year I visited the Product Development and Design Center of the Philippines for the first time to meet up with my friend,  Weng Domingo

dti-01.JPG

Here she is together with the head of the Design Center, Myrna Sunico!  A familiar face because she used to work for Rustan’s Supermarket:-)  Weng is very busy being First Lady to her husband and Secretary of Trade and Industry, Greg Domingo.  I told her she fits the part perfectly 🙂

dti-02.JPG

Many people do not know this exists so I promised Weng I would post this here at Heart2Heart.  I believe that many designers can get plenty ideas from here.  We all know that Filipinos are very talented and creative, and this place offers many tools and ideas to further develop the skills of our designers.  We should take advantage of this great service the DTI offers us
