Ladies Collection

The end of summer for FCUK sees a return to the original design spirit when the brand was founded in the70’s – prints are rustic and ethnic, the silhouette is free and flowing while elegant evening wear takes inspiration from Studio 54.

Tops, dresses and jumpsuits in cotton and silk are key in playful prints and washed out summer hues,transformed into evening wear in silk with eclectic embellishment. Harem silhouette pants in silk, cheesecloth and jersey echo the relaxed beatnik vibe. Beachwear is given a new retro design with ruffles,prints and bows in an array of bold block colours or playful prints with matching cotton playsuits, maxi dresses and off the shoulder smocks.

Old Copy indigo shorts provide a strong base palette at the start of the season, mixing with pale summer blues and a flash of ‘frenchie’ pink for a hint of afresh summer feel. The mood is classic elegance,with a quirky English preppy twist–small motifs on jumpers and cardigans adding a studious edge to summer style. Free-flowing shapes in delicate lace exude femininity and an summery air, while nautical stripes add a feel of mature sophistication. Think traditional Cornwall seaside meets French Riviera chic. Infuse these looks with refined ladylike confetti floral prints and tone on Old Copy.

Men’s Collection

July and August 2011 for FCUK sees the return of the British Gent – the collection is clean, simple and classic updated with subtle design elements. Shirts are key with updated colour cuts in clean white,chambray and gingham checks, worn with tailored shorts and wider cut chinos in stone and muted summer hues. T-shirts and polo shirts are striped or given abstract prints. It’s about refined, classic style.

Inspired by the relaxed vibe of backpacking in South East Asia, Mid Summer 2011 features ethnic graphics, traditional printing techniques and love-worn denim. Extract printing using indigo dye follows the ancient method of creating patterns on to fabrics to create honest and unique designs across the range.Utility shorts in check or stone are worn with bold zip through hoodies and stone wash denim shirts.

World-renowned Italian luxury goods company, Tod’s, is a favorite among Hollywood’s finest. With Tod’s, Tinseltown’s style makers go from luxe to laidback.

Hollywood A-lister Halle Berry drenched the red carpet with her fashion sense as she wore Tod’s Lucy Pochette in Black Pony Hair at the Fifi Awards in New York.

At Roland Garros,  Henri and Florentine Leconte were spotted wearing Tod’s Sun glasses.  Henri Leconte, a former French Tennis player  wore Tod’s Aviator Sun glasses with braided leather branches while Florentine Leconte sported Tod’s Resin Sun glasses.

Italian top model and actress, Bianca Balti looked effortlessly chic as she was spotted in front of the Hotel Martinez in Cannes wearing Tod’s Iconic D-Bag and Gommini shoes.

At the Los Angeles airport, ageless actress Demi Moore was seen carrying a Tod’s D-Bag Luxury in brown leather.

International superstar, Michelle Yeoh wore an all Tod’s ensemble as she sported a Tod’s Jacket, Tod’s T-Bag,Tod’s D-Bag, Tod’s Sun glasses and sandals.

Dressed in Tod’s Giovane boots and Tod’s Gommini Laccetto Jon Hamm, looked dapper while out in L.A.

When it comes to high fashion, Italy undoubtedly stands supreme. So when Rustan’s Department Store, Stores Specialists, Inc, and Metrobank Card Corporation collaborated to bring discerning Filipino consumers “Bella Patria! Beautiful Motherland!”,  it was a unique showcase of the very best when it comes to all things Italian. Exquisite fashion apart, the month long festival celebrated Italian food and wines, cosmetics and toiletries and items to beautify one’s home.

Having some of the top renowned fashion houses originating from Italy, it is no surprise that Italy is regarded as the pinnacle for global fashion. Hearing of cities such as Milan, Rome, and Florence, one quickly associates them as the home base of high-end fashion labels such as Gucci, Armani, Emilio Pucci, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo and Bottega Veneta.

With an endless list of names that can influence and shape the direction of fashion, Italy definitely has it all. And Rustan’s and Stores Specialists, Inc. proved it houses only the best and finest in Italian fashion when – as part of Bella Patria! – it staged the “Moda Italia Fashion Show” at Greenbelt 4.

As they awaited the action on the catwalk,  guests were treated to a night of cocktails with red and white wine from Ralph’s Wines & Spirits, Santa Vittoria Mineral Water from Wine Depot, and an amazing assorted selection of Italy’s famous cold cuts, cheeses, and bread catered by Makati Shangri-la Manila.

The evening was certainly a night to remember as it was graced by people from different circles. Members of the Tantoco family who came together to witness this grand night include Ambassador Bienvenido Tantoco Sr., Hon. Bienvenido Tantoco Jr., Mike and Kathy Huang, Dina Tantoco, Chris Tantoco and Christian Tantoco.

Then came the night of fashion as models walked down the runway wearing the latest creations of Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Tod’s, Furla, Ermenegildo Zegna, Marlboro Classics, A/X Armani Exchange, Diesel, Bvlgari, Emilio Pucci, Coccinelle and Fendi and while donning the newest makeup looks from Dior.
