Our main reason for going to the city was to see our good friend Jerome.  Jerome took us to the new Trump Soho hotel and we had a lovely dinner…as expected

We were happy to see Ria too who joined us for dessert.  Ria works at the Mandarin Hotel and takes care of all the VIP guests! 

This was my dish and it was the risotto of the day…I forgot the exact name…but it was really really good! And of course that is black truffles ( tartufo ) on top! 

Is this supposed to spell LOVE?  I just noticed this now….

WHAT A LONG LINE!!!   

This Elvis seems to pop out in the city, I forgot where I saw him before…hmmm..or it could be one of the many Elvis going around the city 🙂

The Shake Shack actually has a express line….and true enough, there was no one in this line because people really come for the burgers!!

When you finally order, you still have to wait!!!  They give you this gadget which rings when your order is ready to be picked up in the counter!! Too much suspense 🙂

We got the SHACK ATTACK! We chose it because it was unique and everyone recommended it. YUMMY!!!!!

Inside the Shack Attack!  The ‘Shroom burger has cheese oozing out of it…soooo good! You can have it alone, but we love it with the cheeseburger!!  YUUUMMMY!!!

Whenever we are in the East Coast, we try to go to Philadelphia to visit U Penn where James went to school and to have the real Philly cheese steak! So since we were in Pennsylvania already, on the way back, we passed by Philly!!

We used to go to Billybob’s but it closed down already 🙁  It was the BEST Philly Cheesesteak for us! We liked Billybob’s because they put the mushrooms, onions and melt the cheese while the steak is being cooked. They also heat the bread in the griller.   No one else does it like that.  I probably ate there only 3 times during the times I visited

 So this trip, we decided to go to Pat and Geno’s.  James told be that there is a rivalry between the two as to who has the best cheesesteak.  We wanted to try for ourself and find out which is really better – Pat’s or Geno’s? 🙂  We got one cheesesteak with exactly the same specs.  We thought that both were just the same except for the way the beef is served- Pat’s has it sliced thinly and shred into pieces

while Geno’s served their’s in beef slices that were flat.

 We therefore conclude that:

**Billybob’s is still the BEST cheesesteak EVER!

**You don’t really need to go to Philly to have good cheesesteaks, besides it was summer and it was so hot, we had to eat outdoors! It was not comfortable at all!

Just go to Rockwell Power Plant mall and go to Elbert’s Cheesesteaks

Lolo took us to one of his favorite restaurants in New Jersey!! A family friend took us here many years ago and since then, it has become one of Lolo’s favorites.  

 There was a yoga place beside it 🙂

We all enjoy being with Lolo!  He really knows how to live life to the fullest!!  Thank you Lolo for spending time with us and for taking us out to dinner.   ( Lolo always makes sure that we eat well ).  We treasure every moment with him and we love him

Almost everyone ordered the foie gras special, and my Mom gave special instructions to me that I should order this! 

I had two appetizers, so this was my main dish -Warm Tart Portobello Mushroom, Truffle cream

Lamb Tenderloin 

They made a special vegetarian dish for Tita Tess 🙂
