5 Feet, Laguna Beach

By | Foodie, Travel | One Comment

A month ago, we went to OC on a business trip.  Thanks to Tito Joey for picking us up in the airport.  He immediately toured us and took us near our area and drove us around Laguna Beach and had dinner there.  Immediately we had a good impression of the place.  Laguna Beach is beautiful!!!!!!!! I wish I had more photos.  I was at the back seat so it was a bit difficult to take photos when riding the car, plus my SLR camera was still in our luggage.

It is a small quaint area with nice small shops and restaurants with of course a beautiful beach2008lb.jpg

Tito Joey took us to 5′ Restaurant.  He said it was called that because the chef and owner, Michael Kang, is five feet 🙂

It was Chinese fusion and we enjoyed it!!

Amorama Tagaytay

By | Foodie, Travel | No Comments

On the way up to Balayan for Paolo and Trina’s wedding, We wanted to leave early and drive leisurely and pass by Antonio’s for lunch 🙂  but then we were worried we would not make it on time for the wedding.  Newts and Michelle had another suggestion which was an Italian restaurant suggested by their Dad.  They were not sure what the name was…only that it began with the letter “A”  🙂  Only to find out it was Amoroma.  We had a quick lunch and then continued on to make it to the wedding. Thanks Newts and Michelle for the treat! 🙂

Family Traditions at Sugi

By | Celebrations, Foodie | 2 Comments

Sugi is a family favorite on the de Jesus side.  So this is where we go on most family celebrations, definitely a tradition in our family.  You can never go wrong when eating in Sugi

sugi-1.jpgsugi-3.jpg

It is also tradition that we let John do all the ordering, so when we get there we just gobble up all the food and we just add dishes that we like in case we want something he did not order

YUMMY EVERYTHING!

Bistro Filipino by Chef Laudico Part 2

By | Foodie | No Comments

That same day, Rina and Suharto brought us along for dinner.  If only we had the energy they had, we would be with them everyday and join them in their busy schedule whenever they are here:-)

Thanks guys for inviting us to join you for dinner.  It was nice to see Doc Arnold and Ginge!  We were heading to Eastwood on a Friday night and it was so traffic, we turned back and decided to stay in Makati.   Arnold and Ginge were kind enough to make us stay in the area and they were the ones who came over and had to brave the traffic going to Makati.  We love you guys and it was all worth it!  We chose Filipino because we noticed that Ginge and Arnold like Filipino food, so we chose Bistro Filipino

bistro-1.jpgbistro-3.jpgbistro-4.jpg

We ordered two orders of the Trio of Appetizers which was a really nice dish because we get to try all

Bestfriends Lunch at Kai Part 2

By | Foodie | No Comments

After Eds invited us for lunch ( Bestfriends Lunch at Zuni Part 1 August 28, 2009) , a week after, we had another lunch.  Rina organized another one at Kai ( Kai Greenbelt 5 August 10, 2009 ) )which she recently enjoyed with Suharts after seeing Heart2Heart’s feature.

Since this is long overdue, at the time I am publishing this feature, Rina is already back in London.  Thanks Rins for a nice lunch and we miss you!  Till our next one, PART 3, when you come back again to visit.  We love you!
