Naga Oriental Wok

By | Foodie, Travel | No Comments

I think around 3 people, including the hotel driver, mentioned to me to eat in the CHINESE retaurant across the hotel.  No one ever mentioned a name…so I figured this must be the one since it is the only Chinese restaurant across the hotel 🙂

It was very decent and very good 🙂

Lola’s Saturday Lunch

By | Foodie | 3 Comments

Every saturday is lunch with Lola Charing.  This tradition has been going on ever since we were kids.  We try to make it as much as we can, because we want to visit Lola and at the same time we all love her food!  🙂 And she really makes sure that we all eat well!   Thanks to Tita Rose who helps Lola manage the house and takes care of all the food!

This was the saturday lunch of about two weeks ago.  I will have more features of Lola’s Saturday Lunch……

We look forward to the appetizer which is there almost all the time- Vargas Kitchen Pizza.

Lola supports her sister’s business 🙂

Best Friends Lunch at Zuni Part 1

By | Foodie | One Comment

I call this my best friend’s lunch because…. hmmm…. these two ladies are my best friends? 🙂  We did this maybe 2 or 3 years ago when I took them both to Circles at the Shangri-la….so I was happy that Eds thought about it again!  But I will call this Part 1 since there will be many more parts in this series!!

Eds invited us out to one of her favorite restaurants, Zuni at Greenbelt 5.  We enjoyed very much though we had little time to really chat for long…. I love this and I love my two best friends! Til the next one…

bflunchzuni.jpgdsc_4961.JPGdsc_4956.JPGdsc_4959.jpgdsc_4962.JPG

Eds and I while waiting for Rina to arrive, decided that our theme for the lunch will be “HEALTHY” 🙂

 dsc_4943.JPG

So we ordered two salads and a soup to share for appetizer

dsc_4944.JPG

Apple Blue Cheese and chicken salad

dsc_4973.JPG

Mesclun Salad with Assorted Fruits, Shiitake, Breaded Calamari and Crispy Papadom

dsc_4977.JPG

French Onion Soup- maybe not too healthy because of the cheese but Eds’ said it was the BEST so we ordered it 🙂

dsc_4946.JPGdsc_4975.JPGdsc_4947.JPG

Grilled Chicken Breast – Eds’ order

dsc_4980.JPG

Healthy choice which came with unhealthy sauces 🙂 Bernaise and Cafe de Paris, both butter based – YUMMY! 🙂

dsc_4982.JPGdsc_4948.jpg

Pan Fried Cream Dory Fillet Coated with Parmesan Cheese – my order obviously because it has cheese 🙂 and I stole some sauces from Eds to add to this dish – Maybe not too healthy because it is fried, but it is fish which is better than beef/meat

dsc_4983.JPGdsc_4949.jpgdsc_4951.jpg

Penne with Chicken and Prawns – Rina’s order

dsc_4979.JPGdsc_4952.jpg

We never skip dessert and we forget the “HEALTHY” theme 🙂

Eat Well

By | Foodie | 4 Comments

So many people have been asking me if I had eaten here…finally we went with the whole family!   The place is a bit small only because it is always full!!  I am not a Chinese food expert and I did not eat much that evening but some say it is Hong Kong Chinese food at very very reasonable prices. Most of the restaurants in the area were closed on a saturday – but EAT WELL was open and jam packed! They even had to turn down some walk ins..it was a good thing we reserved and we eat early for dinner

dsc_4804.JPGdsc_4805.JPGdsc_4849.JPGdsc_4806.JPG

Hong Kong backdrop – so that you feel like you are in Hong Kong 🙂

Deep Fried Golden Mushroom with Dried Japanese Shrimp- YUMMY! I could munch on this forever! <3

dsc_4825.JPGdsc_4826.JPGdsc_4828.JPGdsc_4830.JPGdsc_4832.JPGdsc_4834.JPGdsc_4837.JPGdsc_4838.JPGdsc_4839.JPGdsc_4842.JPGdsc_4846.JPG

Masachi WIth Chocolate- we were so full and the place was getting too tight, we decided to take home the dessert we ordered.  WOW!! YUMMY!!  My favorite white chocolate inside melting and coming out!!  Only P 48.00 for 6 pcs!!! Where can you get that nowadays in a Chinese restaurant?

Red Kimono

By | Foodie | 3 Comments

Thank you very much to Ganga for inviting Heart2Heart over to their family owned restaurant!

We have eaten in Red Kimono ( Crazy Sushi  July 9, 2008 )  a few times and I was happy to have the chance to visit the place again, and now with even more choices and new dishes.  They even have a vegetarian menu.  I think that you get great value for your money when eating at Red Kimono.  Quality Japanese food at affordable prices!
