The Best View in Makati

By | Celebrations, Foodie | 2 Comments

We had a delayed birthday lunch for me as we were waiting for the gang to be complete.  We had it at Manila Golf.   And wow!  This for me is the best view you can ever have in Makati ( from the ground  and not looking from a high floor of a building ).  The greens and the space that you can see that reaches a far distance.  I can just sit and watch the view all day 🙂

Thanks to the girls for joining and celebrating, we missed Dette who could not make it.  I always enjoy catching up with them – Des, Lucille, Luzanne and Brenda ( and Dette who could not join us ).  I can’t cook like Lucille, so I just invite for a simple lunch 🙂

Taco Bell

By | Foodie, Travel | No Comments

I saw around 3 or 4 Taco Bells around Guam.  We were able to get some inside Micronesia Mall!  We were so happy because here in Manila we hardly can get any because it is just too far from us.   We love Taco Bell!

Taco Supreme!  My order.  I like the sour cream inside my taco..I normally ask for extra nacho cheese to put inside ..but this time I forgot to order it..but it was still YUMMY!

Crunch Wrap!  It looked better in the photo, it was not really crunchy.  It was just like a big wrapped quesadilla

London Group Reunion

By | Celebrations, Foodie | 5 Comments

It has been almost 20 years since we all went our separate ways from studying in London together.  We met many other friends from different parts of the world, but we still hung out together.

It was such a blessing to get all the girls together to be able to catch up.

We had it in Rina’s place…she always seems to make her place look different and with additional touches

I love this new acquisition…proudly Filipino made

schillerreunion-12.jpgschillerreunion-13.jpg

Rina says this is the table with all her relatives who have passed away and who continue to pray for her and watch over her 🙂 I remember most especially her mother, Tita Fely, who I truly miss!

schillerreunion-15.jpg

Rina and Mich were in town so we were able to organize a get together with the Schiller girls!  Rina invited her neighbor Bambi to join who we found out is somehow connected to the Schiller girls as she is now the fianceé of one of the Schiller boys, Alexie 🙂 We were happy to have her with us as we have not been in touch with Alexie

Bistro Filipino by Chef Laudico

By | Foodie | 5 Comments

Finally we pushed through with our get together with Rachelle!  She has been telling me to try Bistro Filipino and finally we went together with Eds two saturdays ago.  They now have a Brunch promo during the weekends and it was perfect for us.  We started at 10am and finished at 1pm.  It was a pleasant type of All You Can Eat – they serve it as you order, unlike in buffets where the food is all there and you have to keep standing up to get.  This style is much better and the food is made fresh as you order. We get to chat and take our time eating.  The portions are perfect and gives you a chance to try as many dishes as you can finish.    We ENJOYED tremendously!!

Heart2Heart supports anything Filipino and is ecstatic when we patronize our very own.  Thanks to Chef Laudico and his wife Jackie for promoting our very own and bringing out the best in our cuisine! The beautiful Filipino inspired interiors of the restaurant were done by Chef Roland Laudico’s mom,  Yola Johnson.
