After dinner in Arirang, we met up with Mich in Habitu for dessert and coffee. It was right next door to Arirang. It’s one of her family’s favorite dining places. A perfect place to spend time with good friends

Arirang was one of our family’s favorites in HK when we were kids and used to stay often in kowloon side. We have not been there in a long long time so since this time it was near where we stayed, I suggested we eat there….. and Ned and Janet offered to treat…so I did not object! 🙂 Thanks Ned and Janet for a great meal!!!
We just ordered the basics
Gahlbi – Marinated Prime US beef short ribs
Hyu Gooi – Tongue
Boolgogi -Marinated sliced beef
Funny guy Ned put his teacup on top of the beef while cooking….hmmm… he said they really do that to cook the beef 🙂 I just had to take a photo of it because it was the first time I saw such a way of cooking
Yummy ube/taro ice cream!! It comes with the BBQ dishes already

James introduced us to one of his favorite stops in Hong Kong, Cafe de Coral. It is quick, yummy and good value for money. Meals cost around HK$ 20 to HK50

We went to Hong Kong on a business trip and of course set aside important time to dine in between……
….And get together with friends and family who were also there – Ned and Janet who came with us, Mich who lives there and my brother Jun Jun and Margs who were also on a businesstrip
It was a good restaurant, the problem was we did not know what to order. It was recommended by the concierge at the hotel. Suddenly we are lost without Mom who normally does all the ordering….But anyway we had a great time and it was nice to have Chinese food in Hong Kong 🙂
Vegetable Rolls and Sauteed Diced Japan Wagyu beef with garlic
Barbecued Eel with honey and a Pork dish
Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab with Spice Salt
Xiao long bao, Another Unagi dish and fried rice
I forgot the names – this was a yummy beef dish, basic sweet and sour pork and a vegetable dish
Everyone ordered this for dessert – like a mango sago
I took photos of dishes I liked in the menu that we did not order…they looked good
These looked good and the head waiter was pushing us to order this…but scary to see a menu with Seasonal price written on it 🙂 where there is no price and you do not know the weight of the seafood. So we did not order anymore

Kitchen’s Best is the famous pastry maker that you see in many bazaars. After many years, they have opened their own commissary and bakeshop in a permanent location! I admire people who start from scratch and grow their business! My real favorite is their sansrival ( The Best Sansrivals May 2, 2008) but I like all their other cakes too.
I did not even know they were open since September last year. So after merienda at Terry’s, we went here for dessert. YUMMY!!!
The inseparable sisters that own and run Kitchen’s Best. They all help each other in the business with Roselyn being the Chef and the other two, Marlyn and Berna assisting in the operations. MORE POWER TO YOU!!
It is a nice, quaint place in the back of Karrivin Plaza, further down from Terry’s Selection and across Steps Dance Studio
Concorde
Banana Toffee Pie
Mango Royale
A week or so after, I dragged my father in law and husband to eat there for dinner so we were able to try the food! YUMMY!!!! Definitely Heart2Heart’s type of food- I love home cooking or old family recipes! We chose everything with an asterisk (*) which are their recommendations. I did not bring my big camera so the photos are not so good and do not do real justice to the dishes. I did not even know Roselyn cooks too!! I thought she was just into baking! So go try them for yourself and support the three sisters at Kitchen’s Best 🙂
Complimentary paté with crostini
Cheesy fries topped with bacon bits, melted cheese and sour cream – YUMMY!!!
I forgot the name of the dish and it is not in the menu- but it is an old family recipe pasta- just ask them about it!! It is YUMMY!!
40 Cloves Garlic Chicken – YUMMY ALSO! It reminds me of Iberian Chicken!
Meditteranean Beef- YUMMY!!! It is like tapa and it was really good with the white sauce that came with it!
Cakes I did not see the other time:
A whole Banana Toffee Pie
Strawberry Torte
Next to try…maybe with Mom, the Breakfast queen! 🙂

We were so happy that Pam came back to visit us again! She is the reason why we always get to have our reunion with the Spain gang! We last saw each other as a group in The Stock Market and we enjoyed. This time we decided to have merienda and go Spanish to fully reminisce our Spain days 🙂 ….. so we went to Terry’s
This tapestry on the wall of Terry’s….
reminded us of the tapestry we had in the apartment we rented out
Chorizo on Piggy Back – YUMMY!! My order 🙂
Manchego Dumplings – YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don Quixote – It is so hard to choose a bocadillo because everything looks good!!
Totrilla Asturiana – this tortilla has blue cheese….hmmm..almost everything we ordered had cheese 🙂 YUMMY!
My sisters ( actually all of us ) favorite, Tocino del Cielo! YUMMY!!
On the ground floor is their shop with many many gourmet items
