The Cookery Gourmet Catering

By | Foodie | No Comments

Thank you to Joy @joyrortega for introducing me to this lovely lady – Michelle Dinglasan Tomacruz! @chefmichelledt We were together in Malabon and she mentioned about her catering business and finally I got to try her food!!! She’s my new discovery for party platters / Gourmet to Go though she’s been doing this since 1996. She worked in Citibank for 3 years and decided to pursue her passion and went to Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School (now called Institute of Culinary Education (ICE). ) “We come from a family of foodies and cooks so some recipes are from my mom and her family , a few from my brother who’s a chef in the states and most of the recipes are from me from cooking school and my travels abroad ? I take courses everywhere I go — Bangkok , Malaysia , Indonesia, Spain and then a few years ago a real kitchen in Morocco ( Gabby Estrella’s sister Malou Jaidi’s kitchen ) ” Call and ask for her pricelist – there’s so many to choose from 631-0541 / 635-0351 / cell 917-8122354

A Table by Dulce Magat Gibb

We visited the home of Dulce Magat Gibb
A Table by Dulce Magat Gibb (2)

She’s a good friend of Dedet and helped her with her table setting and food presentation. This time Dedet convinced her to offer her food for more people to enjoy. She launched her Gourmet to Go food.

She was a former chef of Via Mare for 3 years. She got married to a British guy and traveled to HK, KL and Saudi as part of the her husband’s work and from from then on she “Entertained without price” 🙂  She told me that what she cooks are the food that they love to serve for themselves and for their friends. So it ranges from Asian, Western Mexican and Middle Eastern. A Table ( “kain na” or “let’s eat”)A Table by Dulce Magat Gibb (22)

Her house is a work of all her creations – putting together different fabrics and things that she buys when she travels and when she lived in different parts of the worldA Table by Dulce Magat Gibb (14)

Dulce told me that she has plenty accessories and things and she loves mixing and matching them and coming up with her settings.  The tablecloth for example is a fabric for a sari.  She said it is hard to find a sari fabric that is long so this is actually a rare pieceA Table by Dulce Magat Gibb (6)
