Another nice fund raising event at Javier’s school. He was so excited because he told us he was the head chef at the Home Cafe.

Ballet Philippines and the country’s top designers collaborate to benefit the company’s dance scholars
Premier Philippine dance company Ballet Philippines launches a project that merges dance and fashion with the help of their latest muse, who’s also known as the most iconic doll in the world.
Ballet Barbie is the collaboration inspired by two different but essentially connected worlds, to benefit the heart and soul of Ballet Philippines, its scholars and dancers. The project aims to raise funds for the dance scholars by auctioning one-of-a-kind Barbie dolls dressed and stylized by some of the country’s most notable designers.
The combination encapsulates an irresistible magic that every girl, no matter what age, desires. “Barbie and ballet represent every girl’s idyllic dream,” says Ballet Philippines President Margie Moran-Floirendo. “Through Ballet Barbie, we hope to create the perfect blend of these two and come up with something that every girl will want to keep and cherish for the rest of her life.”

On Feb. 24 and March 6, The FOUNDATION FOR ADOLESCENT DEVELOPMENT (FAD), INC. ( Board Members- Karen Santos, Lizette Cojuangco, Tessa Siera and Rina Go )
shared the center stage of Teatrino, at the Greenhills Promenade, briefly with JON SANTOS, in a two and half minute video clip which featured the highlights of their twenty years of service dedicated to the development and care of the Filipino youth, anchored on Teen Value Formation.
Rina Go, Chairperson of the Foundation for Adolescent Development
FAD is the pioneer behind Dial-A-Friend (1991); the first telephone hotline counseling for the youth and E-Mail-A-Friend, a more recent addition to our counseling services. TEENS HEALTHQUARTERS (THQ), a social franchising model, in partnership with LGUs, NGOs and academe, is a one stop youth friendly center offering information-education, counseling and select medical services.
Presently, there are 13 existing THQs found around the Philippines; in Quezon City, Marikina City, Valenzuela City, Dasmarinas, Cavite, Tarlac, Baguio City, Sagada in Mt. Province, Carmen, Talibon and Ubay in Bohol, Jasaan, Opol and Tagaloan in Misamis Oriental. FAD is also a major Resource Center working in tandem with international organizations and local NGOs in capacitating service providers by training the trainors, educating the educators on adolescent health, sexuality and development.
“Kuring,Gluring, Syerrap at Dyuning: Election is Nearing”, is the popular stand-up comedy wherein Jon Santos cleverly mixes political satire and wit with such a delicate balance, that he brought the house down from one personification to the next. At the end of the night, Jon successfully provides the audience with great comic relief and elevates their social consciousness to the importance of exercising their right to vote wisely in May.
The two Benefit Nights which were presented by Pioneer Insurance and Surety Corporation and Security Bank Corporation, and sponsored by Rustan’s Department Store, Stores Specialists Inc., Belo Medical Group, Directories Philippines Corporation, and Smart Communications, Inc. attracted Manila’s Best and Finest.

Congratulations to our sister in law, Krie, and the whole Messy Bessy family!!!
I was so happy to attend the blessing of their new headquarters! I made sure I came early to I could do my usual investigation and take my photos before everyone arrives and it gets busy… Here is what happens behind the scenes and behind the very popular products we all buy….
I am now thinking if I should implement this schedule in our office 🙂 How nice!
Everyone has to wear the proper uniform when in production
Everything is in order and meets BFAD requirements so you are assured of safe and clean products that pass through BFAD standards
Messy Bessy is composed of 11 young adults. And they are grouped into two batches- half goes to school and half works in production in the morning. And then in the afternoon, they switch so those that went to school in the morning will be in production in the afternoon. And take note, they still get paid to go to school.
Krie set up School H.O.U.S.E. which is an even longer term plan for them. AMAZING!!
I talked to Alvin, the full time teacher, who teaches the class.
He follows a module. He told me that it is a challenge because all the students are in different grade levels. But he said that in one month, they are able to go to higher levels already.
I was so surprised to meet them all! Krie warned me, ” THEY ARE NOT SHY!” 🙂 And it only means that they are all confident human beings who have much potential and much to look forward to in their future. And Messy Bessy is a stepping stone for them. Thanks to Krie for taking care of all of them…for changing the lives of these young adults! What an accomplishment!!
I was quiet ( as I always am ) but I am observing everything going on and you cannot imagine how touched I was seeing all of this in front of me. Heart2Heart was so moved that day just watching them all…God is truly good! I have been telling Krie that she is one of the Presidential candidates in Heart2Heart’s list. We need more people like her! This is just the beginning for her and if she can change the lives of 12 people, maybe one day she can make a difference for the whole country!

Looking in your eyes I see a paradise
This world that I found is too good to be true
Standing here beside you, want so much to give you
This love in my heart that I’m feeling for you
Let ’em say we’re crazy, don’t care ’bout that
Put your hand in my hand baby, don’t ever look back
Let the world around us just fall apart
Baby, we can make it if we’re heart to heart
And we can build this dream together, standing strong forever
Nothing’s gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers, we’ll still have each other
Nothing’s gonna stop us, nothing’s gonna stop us now
I’m so glad I found you, I’m not gonna lose you
Whatever it takes, I will stay here with you
Take it to the good times, see it through the bad times
Whatever it takes is what I’m gonna do
Let ’em say we’re crazy, what do they know
Put your arms around me baby, don’t ever let go
Let the world around us just fall apart
Baby, we can make it if we’re heart to heart
And we can build this dream together, standing strong forever
Nothing’s gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers, we’ll still have each other
Nothing’s gonna stop us, nothing’s gonna stop us
All that I need is you
All that I ever need
And all that I want to do
Is hold you forever, forever and ever
And we can build this dream together, standing strong forever
Nothing’s gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers, we’ll still have each other
Nothing’s gonna stop us, nothing’s gonna stop us
Nothing’s gonna stop us, nothing’s gonna stop us now
And we can build this dream together, standing strong forever
Nothing’s gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers, we’ll still have each other
Nothing’s gonna stop us, nothing’s gonna stop us now
