Segragating when Unpacking

By | Green, Household Tips, Travel | No Comments

I love segregating 🙂 It really helps make things easier and more organised.  Even for the staff who will be the one to help pack them away

Previous entry:  Christmas Segragation December 5, 2013

When we arrive from a trip, the household staff know and they already prepare all these plastic bins.  I love them.  I bought them in Shopwise for  3 pcs. for P 99.00!!!  I have around 10 sets so maybe 30 pcs. of these and we use them around in the house for a lot of things.  One of them is this!

When I unpack, each and every item that comes out has a basket to go to:

1.)  For laundry  2.)  To return to the closets  3.)  For pasalubongs  4.)  For the office  5.)  Bilins  6.)  My personal stuff that I will pack away myself   7.)  For hubby  8.) For kids  9.)  for Kitchen

It makes all our lives so much easier 🙂

Last month I saw the same laundry baskets in Shopwise at Buy One Take one which is close to the using price I bought them at but I like to have the same colour in black – so once in awhile they have these promos and I love them!!  I like them also because when storing it is very easy you just stack them and they don’t take much space

Where Did The Trays Go?

By | Green | No Comments

In Jaime’s school cafeteria in the States, they changed something from the last time we were there

where-did-the-trays-go-1.jpeg

They removed the trays!!  I am guilty 🙂  I tend to fill up the tray with so much food and drinks and filling it up and ending up not finishing everything!  But look how much they have saved from this initiative!

Recycling Pallets

By | Green | 3 Comments

It’s Earth Day month!!  I saved all my GREEN posts for this month 🙂  I am starting with this feature on pallets!  I have several pallets which come from shipments and we sell them for a minimal fee to some buyers.  But it’s actually interesting what you can do with them!  I had the guys in the house make these 🙂  Still unfinished of course but there is a table, some crates to organise stuff in the house, a bed for the dog and a tray

My friend Ned got some and he made it into a fence for his pet goats 🙂

My cousin Tara!  She got a few as well

And she was able to make a coffee table

The second time around she made use of them for displaying her artworks for Art in the Park!  It’s amazing how she does everything herself!! The sexy pallet maker 🙂

You can google and you will find many many ideas on what you can do with pallets!!

Touring White Plains

By | Green, Homes and Interiors, Shopping | 2 Comments

I had to go to the Katipunan area so I asked my friend, Ginge, for places I could check out on the way there and here are some places I was able to pass by in White plains.

This place had a lot of Asian furniture and decorative items

The popular Bawai’s from Tagaytay is open in Manila and this is their branch

Further down is Earth Kitchen which Ginge said was quite good

and a Healthy organic store

I would have wanted to go inside this place 🙂  Pan de Amerikana which was an inverted house 🙂
