Aside from continuously putting Camsur in the global map for sporting events, Camarines Sur Governor Lray Villafuerte led the Summit Water Camsur Marathon 2010 to achieve its primary vision of helping rebuild the nation. “These efforts are consistent with our vision of being Gawad Kalinga’s active partner in nation building.  Our goal is to build peaceful and productive communities that are poverty-free. Camsur is GK’s only designer province with 4,700 homes totaling more than 120 villages spread in each and every municipality. Our other beneficiaries, the Organ Donor Card program of the HOPE-National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) and the K.I.D.S. Foundation are also able to touch the lives of many with their respective causes and as such, they have our full support,” says Camarines Sur Governor Lray Villafuerte.

Camarines Sur has once again set the standard for world class sporting event that every Filipino will be proud of. It was indeed a day filled with excitement and fun, at the same time self-fulfilling and rewarding for all the participants all for the vision of rebuilding the nation!

Summit Camsur Marathon 2010 was presented by Summit Water and Smart Communications. It is also co-presented by the Department of Tourism with Timex, 100 Plus, Nature Valley and the Philippine Star.
