Property Brothers Asia Tour

By | Homes and Interiors | No Comments

HGTV is the only regional home-focused channel in Asia that entertains and inspires viewers with fresh ideas and authentic stories on how to find and love your personal dream home.

HGTV, a home design and decorating channel under Scripps Networks Interactive, can finally be seen in the country and what better way to launch its entry into Philippine television than by flying in the hosts of popular HGTV show Property Brothers, Jonathan and Drew Scott.

Real estate expert Drew Scott and contractor Jonathan Scott team up to help families find, buy and transform a dated property into the ultimate dream home. Drew scours for three old homes with great makeover potential for these families to choose from, while Jonathan’s incredible design plans help these families to see the hidden potential in them.

Come on over on February 23 to the Glorietta Activity Center to meet Drew and Jonathan!

Property brothers Asia Tour HGTV Philippines 2015

Property Brothers hosts: The Scott brothers (Drew and Jonathan)

Drew and Jonathan Scott are real estate’s twin brother duo who star in HGTV’s hit series, Property Brothers, as well as Buying and Selling and Brother vs. Brother. As the perfectly matched two-man team, Drew and Jonathan have a knack for finding dated properties and turning them into the perfect homes for their clients.

Jonathan, a licensed contractor, and Drew, a seasoned agent, have invested nearly 15 years in the real estate industry. In 2004, they founded Scott Real Estate Inc., a company that oversees the sales and construction of residential and commercial projects. With offices in Vancouver and Las Vegas, the firm now services hundreds of clients and employs dozens of workers.

The brothers are as passionate about performing as they are about properties. Jonathan and Drew have been involved in film and television since they were kids,

and founded Dividian Production Group in 2002 with their older brother, JD. When not spending time on camera, Jonathan is an award-winning illusionist in Las Vegas, and Drew focuses his attention on directing and producing films.

Andy’s Bachelor Pad

By | Homes and Interiors | No Comments

Andy invited us to dinner, but of course I made sure we visited him in his home first.  He told me it’s a simple bachelor’s pad, but when I got there, it was a three bedroom house!Andy's Bachelor Pad (16)

He says that I should mention that ladies can start applying and to send their photos to him! haha!!  But take note, Andy says this is only for temporary stay – like maybe one night! Double haha!! This guy is very straight and upfront!  Andy's Bachelor Pad (17)

Rene Orosa, interior designer, helped him with his house when he was still living in California.  I am more impressed that Andy keeps his house very orderly and dry neat!  He has a yaya that comes twice a week to clean, laundry and cook for him.  But still, keeping the house clean and orderly is important and I told him I was happy he is that way!Andy's Bachelor Pad (18)

He has several art works in his place which he gets from his travelsAndy's Bachelor Pad (24)

Yes he is neat! I want to do this in my house too! 🙂Andy's Bachelor Pad (26)

Andy told me not to take photos of his home office because it is the messiest part of the house!  Hello??  Organized chaos you mean!  I love his Italian office chair which is a Pininfarina designed chair, the same ones who design for FerrariAndy's Bachelor Pad (27)

He hardly eats at home – he says he eats out a lot with friends Andy's Bachelor Pad (21)   GardenAndy's Bachelor Pad (22)

Here he is 🙂  So happy to see my friend, Andy Litton, who lives in the Bay Area!  He is 59 years old but he says he is 45 years old in the dating sites! 🙂  We used to be barkada when we were studying in London in 1989 to 1991.  Andy is one of 6 kids in the family and spends 4 months out of the year  in Manila to be with his family and leaves for Summer and stays in the Bay Area.  He says it is too hot to stay in Manila for Summer.  This guy is so funny and I like that fact that I can ask him anything under the sun about himself and he will tell me the most truthful answer- straight to the point.  He works his charm to get what he wants…and it works…especially when the person he is charming is a woman! 🙂  Always enjoy listening to Andy’s stories and adventures    Andy's Bachelor Pad (23)

Oh and he loves to play golf!  Those are his golf shoes in the garage!Andy's Bachelor Pad (33)[email_link]

Chandeliers in London

By | Homes and Interiors, Travel | One Comment

I like taking photos of lighting fixtures.  It’s fun 🙂  In almost any place I go, I take a photo of the chandelier or lighting fixture

But because there were just too many beautiful things in London, I was not able to capture too many lighting fixtures this trip.  I just kept clicking and clicking my camera in all directions!!  I did not anymore know what to focus on! 🙂  So, here’s a few lighting fixtures that I was able to photograph

On Loving and Living in London

By | Homes and Interiors, Travel | One Comment

Thank you Tita Millet Mananquil and the Philippine Star for allowing me to share this beautiful city!    This came out last June 29 where I featured the different homes I visited during my recent trip to London.  Thank you to my friends, Rina and Ria who took me around and made this possible.   London indeed is an ideal place to live in which is why many choose to live here.  For us Filipinos, living in Europe may be difficult because of the language barrier, but there is none in London 🙂  And the city is just so beautiful, you will have to live here to possibly visit all the interesting places to see, many of them historical
