I have kept this article on the daughter of our good friends, Peter and Elena Coyiuto. A very good tennis player and a talented writer
Previous entry: Flight to The Stars by Samantha Coyiuto October 16, 2010
And now she is being recognized internationally! Congratulations Samantha!
As my friend, Teddy Montelibano, says, “Every issue of Rogue, is a work of genius!” I love this issue with the center of the magazine having a special MANILA EATS portion. And Katrina Razon is so beautiful! I thought at first we had a foreign cover!

“It’s not our parents’ Town & Country. It’s our Town & Country,” says editor-in-chief Yvette Fernandez. Now embarking on its 6th year, Town & Country Philippines has definitely evolved into the younger, fresher and more dynamic magazine that more people can relate to, truly becoming food for the soul by touching the reader in a multitude of ways.
What’s in store for Town & Country in 2013? “Town & Country continues to celebrate life at its best. Expect even more interesting, in-depth features on smart, dynamic, beautiful women who matter, who excel in their chosen fields, who are making a difference in society. And many more stories on Fabulous Food and luxury travel, the latest in home and design, fashion and gorgeous watches and jewelry, plus activities and products that enhance one’s natural beauty. Then of course there is our regular Culture Top Ten on things to do, see, and experience to feed the soul,” Yvette chides.
In its Luxury Travel issue this March, the magazine features Zelda Kniele and her daughters Stephanie and Jessica, photographed on their most recent holiday in the Serengeti. While exotic destinations are nothing new to the well-traveled Kniele family, this vacation in East Africa proved to be one of the most enriching as they went on twice-daily game drives, hot-air balloon rides; basking in the dramatic sights and magnificent African sun.
The March issue also gives glimpses into some of the most extraordinary summer destinations as Cecily Mabasa recounts her luxurious trek on the Inca trail to Machu Picchu, all the while staying in four lush mountain lodges, taking in the captivating Soraypampa, conquering the Salkantay pass and feasting on wonderful Peruvian cuisine.
This issue also includes a trip to sandy Morocco with Aerin Lauder as she talks about her debut line bearing her first name only, her preference and aesthetic of effortless simplicity and carrying on her family’s legacy with her wherever she goes.
Town & Country also takes a trip to the not-so-secret private kitchen of TBLS in Hong kong as New York-bred chef Que Vinh Dang dreams up innovative, rave-worthy menus that are meticulously prepared for months in advance. From a bacon and egg risotto with apple wood smoked bacon, poached Taiyouran egg and Parmesan to the Iberico collar and shank with kabocha squash puree, mustard braised cabbage and pork crackling, all of which demonstrating his inexhaustible devotion to his craft and love for food which keeps guests coming back for more.
The March Summer and Travel issue of Town & Country Philippines is available in newsstands and bookstores nationwide. Become a fan of Town & Country on Facebook via Facebook.com/townandcountry.ph.

On my birthday last year ( April ) I received a gift from one of my good friends, Alexie. I was only able to remove the plastic cover from the book and started reading it 9 months after! And it’s one of the best books a woman can have!!!!!!! Of course my friend Alexie knows exactly what I like!
I am probably delayed and maybe many of you have it already, but if you don’t have one yet – I highly recommend this book to all women out there!! It’s not just a book on HOW TO this and that – but it is a whole lifestyle – AS LIFE SHOULD BE according to Colin Cowie. I am just starting to read the book and it’s so so interesting – I am sure you can get many tips here
I received this from my friend, Tisha Cruz- Bautista of Isdanco Foundation. Aside from her being busy helping people from Mindanao, she has organized this very interesting full day workshop with a good friend, Alvin Lim!
I am looking forward to attending this and reading her book! Everyone is invited to attend, please read details below from Tisha
Greetings from Arkeology, Inc.!
We are an organization dedicated to re-defining what it means to give: to ourselves and our communities through a “Campaign of Consciousness” by providing people with information and perspectives that will allow them to make better decisions towards living a happier life. Arkeology is all about Choice. It is about finding, discovering, sharing the best version of ourselves through programs and projects that promote a genuine awareness. We believe that LIVING fully IN this world but not BEING fully OF this world can truly change it.
In this regard, we offer the first of many speaking engagements.
Anita Moorjani is the best selling author of the book “Dying to be Me”(NY Times Best-seller and endorsed by Dr. Wayne Dyer) — an account of her remarkable near death experience and almost instant recovery from Stage Four Cancer (Lymphoma).
Her subsequent healing has remained one of the most amazing ever recorded in Medical History. Anita’s new found perspective on life, and death and her moving message of hope continues to bring such comfort to cancer survivors, their families as well as numerous followers. She inspires her audience to transform their lives by living more authentically, discovering their greatest passions and purpose, transcending their deepest fears and living always from a place of pure joy. Your life counts. It is meant to be good.
Entitled “Mapping Your Miracles” — Ms. Moorjani will be in Manila this January 2013. We will be holding two days of talks/presentations during her visit:
1) Saturday – January 26, 2013- 3:30pm to 6:30pm – at the RCBC Plaza Theatre
2) Sunday – January 27, 2013- 3:30pm to 6:30pm – at the Quezon Ballroom of the Makati Shangrila Hotel
We estimate a minimum of 250 participants per venue at a cost of Php2000 per ticket(for RCBC) and Php2500 per ticket(for Makati Shangri-La). The attendees are expected to be from a mixed demographic: all ages, all backgrounds, cancer-touched, cancer-free. We will have Ms. Moorjani’s book available for sale at the venue and subsequent book-signing on each day.
In addition, as part of one of Arkeology’s corporate HR programs, she will also conduct a full-day workshop for one of the foremost Filipino companies in the country. Incorporating real world concerns of the business industry she also address the following items: dealing with stress, practicing the right perspective, oneness, understanding the physical aspect of life and finding your ultimate purpose.
We feel that Anita Moorjani’s contribution to the well-being both physical and emotional of many in our community will be genuinely invaluable for those who are living with this disease and for those left behind. Hers is a message of oneness, of hope, of miracles. Help us change lives by choosing to support this endeavor.

We were so happy to receive a christmas gift from our friends, Arnold and Ginge!! This is such a great compilation of restaurants! Congratulations Alicia!
I started breezing through the pages wondering how many out of the 115 restaurants I have not been to, and it seems like there is a lot out there I am missing. Thanks to Alicia Sy and Summit Media for publishing this book!! I am sure many of you out there will want to get a copy of this. I told Alicia that the pages are much better than Zagat since each page is dedicated to one restaurant and it is full color with photos! Get your copy now if you still don’t have one!
