So happy to see Tita Viv Yuchengco @canarymum 🙂 who always looks so good everytime I see her. One of her secrets is Izumio  #h2hizumio @naturallyplusphilippines and Another secret is her beauty salon called Vivify @vivify_salon in Jupiter street. She now offers microblading and she is the perfect model.  She is a permanent fixture at the Makati Stock Exchange soon to move to BGC. Tita Viv is a trove of information so i also like getting info and finds from her. She has a doctor for everything and she will even help you get an appointment in an instant. There’s no better wisdom than experience and age. Love  learning from friends – to me they are blessings from God  #h2hbeauty #vivifysalon #h2hpeopleBienvenida by Tita Menchu (33)Homecooked healthy and yummy meal by Tita Menchu.

Homemade pako salad- she said she just puts the pako in a strainer and pours hot water over it then adds the onions and tomato. And since she’s “OC” the onions and tomatoes have to be cut a certain way

I asked her how she marinated her yummy Chicken inasal – its Claude Tayag inasal which comes in a bottle and you can buy in the grocery. Yum!

LOVE the Cold handtowel idea in the tablesetting which smelled so good. She puts the colognes or perfumes that she can’t use.  Which i believe is not offensive because you really tend to choose your scent sometimes.

Super love the crochet glass holder which can’t be bought anywhere 🙁 because it was made by a former maid. It’s so thick and so snug and looks so elegant. If someone can please copy and sell

I like the slipper idea. In my future home im hoping to follow the Japanese home where they have an area before entering the home which has a cabinet to put shoes then you change into slippers and there’s a step before entering the home proper. That’s why i collect hotel slippers:-)  I’m going to follow all these!! Lovegetting ideas from friends. Creating Sanctuaries in the Home

By | Household Tips | No Comments

Last month I bumped into Mariana in the supermarket and she told me about a workshop. I really believe that that was not by chance and that I was meant to be in this workshop because it has brought so much happiness and peace to me.

Lia Bernardo was talking about sanctuaries and I realized that Rustan’s  is one of my sanctuaries.   When I’m here I’m so at home and I’m happy when I’m here with all the staff so friendly, the store always so clean with nice music and looking at all the beautiful things from all over the world  is just happiness

In the photo are peonies which she loves and an Acrila dresser  which is Lia’s sanctuary at home where she fixes up herself. Just listening to Lia is already happiness and so relaxing

In Rustan’s Home  Lia Bernardo talked about creating sanctuaries in your home. Buying things and surrounding yourself with things that you love and that make you happy. Sometimes I feel we are pressured to put things in our home that we think will make other people happy or what maybe our interior designer likes. But in this sanctuary that Lia was talking about it has to be something personal to you.

When Lia Bernardo was talking about creating a sanctuary in your home, I knew right away what spot that was in my house and how I unconsciously created it. My husband always closes the door of my sanctuary because he thinks it’s weird 🙂  and I have to keep telling him that no one has to like it but me! And I’m so happy I have this place all to myself so I can put here everything that I want without having to please anyone .  So anything pink and hearts and all my trinkets are all here. I love this place and it’s my happy place. No one bothers me when I’m here

Create your own sanctuary at home for your well being.  Thank you Lia.  We learned so many things. Blessing for the day.  Lia is a Well being and Personal growth consultant. She does workshops on personal growth in the healing house or people can host their own retreats. I wish I could listen to her everyday so I will always be inspired and peaceful and happy.

She is also a partner of my cousin Katrina offering Elixir healing mists which can be used as personal fragrances or home spray. Contact liabernardo@gmail.com.  She also has her own website which was recently launched! ( Click below to go to her website and follow her )

Ariel Loves Chocolate

By | Foodie, Household Tips | No Comments

White dresses, linen and….chocolate? Premium detergent brand Ariel demonstrated its expert cleaning power in a deliciously unexpected manner as it invited selected ladies to a luxe lunch celebrating one of laundry’s worst enemies – chocolate.

de Ocampo, Techie Hagedorn, Sari Yap, Liza Ilarde, Mia Borromeo, Joy Ortega, Malou Romero, Nicole Whisenhunt, Charina Sarte, Mandy dela Rama, Nicole Ortega and Chef Florabel.

In an intimate gathering held at the newest branch of renowned Filipino fine dining fixture, Florabel, last April 15, Ariel demonstrated its superior removal of even the toughest stains.

Ariel (4)

“As they say, chocolate goes with everything, and we agree! But sometimes, there is a tendency for us to see it as a guilty pleasure—something we only treat ourselves to on special occasions or even ‘cheat days.’ For others, chocolate can mean a tricky, gooey, dirty affair.

But today, Ariel challenges us to let go of those worries and dare to face tough stains! We encourage everyone to indulge in decadent chocolate without the worry.”, Procter & Gamble Brand Manager for Fabric Care- Philippines Mukta Maheshwari emphasized.

Ariel (16) “Finally, Ariel’s 1-wash clean has been upgraded to further enhance its tough stain removal ability.”, shared Maheshwari. “When it comes to the dirty business of washing and cleaning, tough stains are problematic. We’re constantly on alert—from our morning coffee to the makeup, sweat, that ends up on our clothes. And because some of our most common run-ins with tough stains happen in the kitchen or at the dining table, Ariel is here to relieve us from those tough stain worries. This brings us to today’s special ingredient —chocolate!”

Among the “ladies who lunch” was lifestyle columnist Mons Romulo, who remarked, “It’s really fresh for a brand like Ariel to present their product in such a unique way, where we see before our eyes how Ariel delivers its promise of removing even tough stains.

Stains – even tough ones like chocolate – are inevitable. Ariel promises to take the tediousness and strain away from laundry by guaranteeing effective tough stain removal in just 1 wash.

Ariel (12) In a partnership with Ariel, gracious host and top chef Florabel Co-Yatco was challenged in creating a chocolate-infused 4-course meal – delicious for the guests and a true test for the well-loved detergent brand. “The kitchen can be one of the messiest workplaces of all, and it takes significant effort to keep not only my environment clean, but also myself. But with Ariel, I don’t have to worry about tough stains that are inevitable”, chef Florabel shares.

In between chocolate courses, Chef Florabel put Ariel to the test. A white fabric, stained with the dark chocolate balsamic vinaigrette that could be a nightmare for regular detergents, was no problem with Ariel’s 1-wash clean. Ariel’s fast-acting enzymes break down tough stains – and the scarf returned spotless – before the lunch even ended.
