We camel trekked after breakfast! The earlier the better. So it was around 930am. If I were to do this all over again – I would do this at sunrise – at 6am to get up to the dunes. After sunrise- continue the trek til around 830am to 9am. That way it is still cool and not too hot. Then do the sand dunes for sunset We all bought turbans to cover ourselves and protect from the sun. A MUST!! Aside from sunblock. And remember – Hydrate hydrate hydrate! We stopped for awhile to have some mint tea The guide is all around 🙂 He is also the server 🙂 He built a fire and heated the tea Spotted Pinoy triathlete in the #SaharaDesert – Jose Moreno @jlm72471 This guy has the most questions 🙂 and this trip I discovered his funny side and super enjoy all his statements, narrations and observations that no one will dare say haha!! So glad he’s part of #Morokrew #SaharaDesert
Camel toe!!!! haha!!! Photo from the hubby- only he will think of it haha!!

One of the must dos in the Sahara Desert is to catch the sunrise Part of the #Morokrewthat woke up at 530am to catch the sunrise at the #SaharaDesert
Our guide said just go up there :-O It was quite a trek. We could have taken the camel. I suggest that when you plan to wake up for the sunrise, ask the camp where it will be so the day or the night before you can make arrangements and if you would like to be accompanied, you must specify
But anyway we made it 🙂
Reunited with #Nisekrew Kai @kaisterprimo 🙂 When going to see the sunrise early in the morning – wear winter socks because the sand is very cold 🙂 Its easier to walk with socks than to use shoes. #Morokrew#SaharaDesert We saw something crawling in the sand- some sort of beetle Take advantage and take as many photos as you can! It’s beautiful! We should have brought our djellabas and other costume changes haha!! Beautiful!! Don’t expect though that everything is like this – there are parts 🙂 Good thing #Morokrew Anna @aangara joined us for our sunrise excursion at the #SaharaDesert We would not know how to hike the dunes without her. The guide just told us to get up the dune ( and he didn’t even tell us how or didn’t go with us ) but it’s not as simple as that. So good thing Anna was there to help us. We let her go first ( haha ) and we just followed her. She’s also so funny, so lively and a great companion 🙂
It’s not all sand- there are plants and weeds in between. I always thought it was all sand Spotted a Pinoy photographer in the #SaharaDesert taking our photo 🙂 – it was #Morokrew Steve @stvsy888 We love Steve because he takes photos of all of us and anything we ask him to take photo of 🙂 So I am glad I have some candid shots of him. He’s ever so kind, so patient, so reliable and so helpful. A great friend to have ! #H2HPhotography
A couple having a photo shoot 🙂 Take shadow photos 🙂 Going back to the camp Seating area which we never used. I would have asked for them to set up breakfast here had I known there was this area
We arrived in the desert camp in time for dinner already. We had two dinners at the desert and we enjoyed them both. There is a tent for the dining room Couscous Tagine Moroccan noodles – Seffa Medfouna ( broken vermicelli noodles ) They usually put cinnamon and powdered sugar but in this case they put it on the side as an option. Love all the raisins and prunes they put in their food. #ErgChebbi#SaharaDesert #Morokrew #H2HPasta
Another stop for lunch this time 🙂 This time a hotel – Hotel Taddart Camel tagine – it’s actually good and the sauce is yum ! #Morokrew #CamelTagine #Tagine
Long road trip from Fes to the desert. They told us 8 hours but it actually took us 11 hours. They gave us two vans – 1 for the luggage and 1 for passengers. If you can arrange for a big tourist bus so you have more seating space and to fit the luggage – I would highly recommend that because it is really a long ride We call this Tetris! haha!! You have to be good at Tetris for all the luggages to fit too heavy! We had to all get down haha!! For the van to get up the ramp I was hoping we could stop and take photos whenever we saw the pink almond trees – but we never got to stop. A photo from the van Our first stop was the Swiss part of Morocco – Ifrane Atlas mountains Snacks from Paris from Marco and Jackie! Yum! You need a lot of snacks for this long road trip – a lot!
Beautiful scenery WOW!! Just seeing this was truly amazing!!! We stopped and just standing there was so so amazing!!! Of course photo opportunity! The roads to the desert are very good from beginning till end More snacks You will pass small towns in between and it’s so nice to see the locals
Wine shop!! There is no liquor in the desert camp so we stopped to buy. The local wines range from $5.00 to 11.00 so they bought a lot The map of our journey from Fes to the desert – from top to bottom Beautiful!! We were supposed to arrive at 5pm for sunset but we arrived almost 8pm already
What an experience to walk through the medina and imagine life inside a walled city. Our hotel is in the edge of the medina so we had to go inside to get to our restaurant for dinner. The restaurants can arrange for a guide to pick you up in the hotel and guide you because it is hard to get around if you don’t know. For sure you will get lost! There’s no google or Waze inside the medina 🙂 I told Century Properties owner, #Morokrew Marco @iamarcoantonio to build something like this in the Philippines #Fes #Medina#Morokrew
Super loved our last dinner at the Ruined Gardens which used to be a merchant’s house, then became a dump site then turned into a restaurant which is so enchanting. Im sure a different experience for lunch! A MUST when in Fes 🙂 #RuinedGardens #Fes #Morokrew
We had private salon with a fireplace
Cranberry juice 🙂 Before the main course – chicken and lamb – we had all these and it’s was so good ! We were so full already. US$37 per person for all this – so worth it at the #RuinedGardens #Fes #Morokrew
We came for the Meshoui ( 7 hour roasted lamb) but the Volibulis roasted chicken cooked the Ancient Roman way was the winner. The marinate and sauce is so uniquely Moroccan Part of the great dining experience at the Ruined Gardens were our servers Abdul and Ottoman – super nice and super funny – We love them and wholeheartedly give them the tip 🙂 Sometimes you feel just obligated but this time we give it with love 🙂 #RuinedGardens#Fes #Morokrew #H2HPeople
