I believe that a good sermon during mass is important to engage with the listeners. Could this be why many have left and moved to another group ( Christian) because they didn’t see the effectiveness of our church? Fr. James of Verbum Dei does this so well which is why I am constantly sharing him with you. In the hope that we can love by sharing God’s word. This is 25 mins of School of the Word ( normally its 2 hours every tuesday) and he explains the gospel of the coming Sunday so you will understand it beforehand just like his book – Sharper than a sword” I hope you will take time to listen to the Lord

Movie  Mass and dinner with our @verbumdeiphilippines family – The Verbum Dei mission accdg to Fr @mctavish_james – “We need the spirit to guide us. The spirit is the principal agent of the mission – the one that gives us that sense of unity and being together tonight as the VD community – we give thanks for the different members and the different tasks of each one. no one is doing this mission alone. We work together. Some of us are studying, some are in formation, some working for the poor but all working together. It’s like a symphony, different notes but when they are all played together you get that tune. Each one of us has to be faithful to that spirit. We have to be faithful to that spirit And do our part but not as soloist but as a symphony. “Sym” is together and “phonos” is voices. We all do our part in this mission. The CORE of the mission – what we are doing- We are trying to listen to the Lord ( his word) and we are trying to share it. That’s the core. All the different things we are doing. This morning i visited Tita Nena as she organized a 2 day retreat with Fr. Phil. The sweetest corn i have ever tasted is from Father Caluag @titocaluag He gave me and i asked him to send me more as soon as theres new harvest and it arrived just now I share it with my neighbors so they can enjoy it too. Freshly delivered from the farm yum yum  thank you father 

Beautiful recollection for godparents and parents for the children going for confirmation. Even if they repeat this, it’s always a good reminder for us. Love what Father said in the end Such an honorable task to be a godparent most especially since we are not even family. Somehow I feel more honored. A fruitful morning at CTK School of the Word by @verbumdeiphilippines with Fr. James @mctavish_james  My good friend Yvonne @yvonneromualdez is trying to help me get Fr. James @mctavish_james to do many things for me  for all of us. I tell her that he should just be pope!!!  I could listen to him all day. Every Wednesday from 9-11am at Christ the King ( greenmeadows) they have CTK Sow. They talk about the gospel for Sunday and analyze because as Father says when you read the gospel & readings, you don’t instantly or magically get the message from God. So this time is for interpretation from Father or a SOWer and then reflection and prayer  So glad to catch Fr James because he is all over for his ministry – but soon we will change that  #verbumdeiphilippines #h2hreligious
